The hostel has lots of great activities table tennis, pool table, free hotdog and beer nights, free walking tours, free Wifi and a great selection of tv channels. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend

I've never expected to get this satisfied with a reservation for only 133$ for FOUR nights. Do not expect "luxury". It is BETTER than that. This hostel is "lively" it is full of LIFE. Sharing with other and communicating with the lovely people at this hostel is very much enjoyable! Luxury is boring! This hostel is funny and nice to...

I had a stop over in Chicago and stayed here at HI. When you consider the price, breakfast, with healthy choices.location how can you go wrong. Ok I stayed in a dorm room setting with bunk beds for 8 persons (perhaps). Bathroom down the hall. Real spartan set up. But the hostel has general sitting rooms with games, TV, if...

We decided to stay at the HI Chicago (in a 4 bed private room) purely because of its convenient location in Downtown Chicago. Overall it was a really good stay. The room and rest of the hostel was very clean, the staff were friendly and it seemed like a safe place to stay. The hostel is a comfortable alternative to...

This is probably one of my favourite hostels that I have stayed in during my trip around the United States! The hostel is centrally located with everything you could want near by, public transport, tourist attractions, restaurants, shops and pretty much anything else! The dorm itself was fantastic, lots of room for luggage without feeling like you have to tread...

When I look for a hostel, the location is probably the most important feature. This hostel is located at walking distance to bus stops as well as subway stations. Several landmarks are close to the hostel too. We stayed in a private room with single bed lofted over full bed which was perfect for us since we are three. The...

Hi-International is a great place to take scouts. I have taken my troop there two times - once as 5th graders and once as 8th graders. The hostel has given us varying size rooms as the troop has become smaller. Over the three years, they have increased security features and now seem to offer more help in planning your vacation....

You get your moneys worth here. The location is very convenient to the downtown area. The employees are very friendly and always welcome you with a smile. There is a nice open space in every room and the activities throughout the building. You also meet a great group of people during your stay. Free breakfast held during certain early hours....

Terrible & misleading sales. We booked 2 private rooms on the phone. They were actually shared rooms, with shared bath. We paid $432.40 for two private rooms for two nights, in rooms that were not private rooms. I've never experienced such a swindle, never paid so much for a hostel. After we saw the rooms, the staff would not allow...

Dear Traveler, Thanks for your review. Unfortunately none of our rooms have private bathrooms, as a hostel all the private rooms have shared bath. This is highlighted on our website and every booking engine, I am sorry you misunderstood. Best, HI Management

The hostel is located in downtown Chicago. Free city-walking tour, with a great walk trough the city, discovering sights of Chicago. Breakfast is perfect (and free), rooms are clean, although the A/C is really, really, loud.
