I have stayed in about 200 youth hostels in the span of 3 years in 100 cities, but I found this youth hostel is the one of the best HI youth hostel. I stayed in this hostel in Dec 2012 on my RSNA conference trip. The location is great and the cost are good enough. Just 10 min walk you...

the is very clean...i was in a 8 bunk bed dorm, and it was still very spacious...but i feel 40 dollers for a bed in a 8 room dorm is no hostel price...the breakfast was very very very average....free wi fi was nice. and then i had to pay $3 for entry as i was not a HI member...whatever that...

I was very opened minded about staying in a Hostel and having read the reviews regarding cleanliness I was very hopeful. I have stayed in Hostels before so I wasn't expected 5*, that soon diminished when upon arrival we were told our room 'was still dirty' rather than it 'not being quite ready'. We booked a private room with a...

For a hostel, this place is quite luxury. There are seven floors, free breakfast, elevators and volunteers who will provide you with information or trips. The location is great and the prices are reasonable. They might have the best showers I've experienced in hostels so far. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because it is...

A friend and I stayed at the HI Chicago for two nights. We had a great experience! When we arrived we had amazing staff doing a quick and smooth check - in for us. We slept in a 10 bed female dorm and were amazed by the spacious room. Also the beds where very nice. Eventhough they were bunkbeds they...

The HI in Chicago is a decent place to stay in Chicago. The location is great as it is within walking distance of most major 'sights'. The rooms, beds and breakfast are fine too. The staff I was unimpressed with. They did their job but didn't seem interested at all. Not what I expect in a hostel. I would also...

There are lots of things to like about this hostel, but there are a few issues. I am going to try to cover everything, so here it goes... GOOD THINGS The lobby was really cool, with comfy couches and tables. At the front desk they gave each of us a room key, which was actually very helpful. I had no...

A bunch of mates and I booked a last minute 8 bedroom female dorm on the day of arrival and it was very cheap. The place was clean, great wifi, large kitchen with free breakfast, pool tables, ping pong, lockers and luggage storage. Would definitely go there again.

HI - Chicago is a very well located hostel. I stayed there for 3 days and was able to walk all over the best places easily. The area seems to be very safe, even for night walks. Since it's located downtown, the hostel is just a few blocks away from good restaurants, bars, pharmacies, and LaSalle Station (Metro). I stayed...
