We booked this resort almost 18 months in advance, as it books up very quickly. We were told it is very hard for RCI members to stay here, esp. in the summer. It is a nice older building in great condition, and in a great location. The train stations are only a block or 2 away

This is my place to stay in Chicago! Clean, comfortable, great staff, close to everything. I trade my time share every December to stay at The Blake. Even when traveling along, I feel safe here. It is only an 11 block walk from Union Station and close to the EL. Lot's of rest

I needed a hotel for Thanksgiving weekend to visit the Christmas market and the tourist attractions. We chose the Hotel Blake as it was close to the South Shore Line Van Buren Street stop. Also it was a straight show down towards the river for the Christmas market.

I stayed here for my first time on Friday night. My cousin has a timeshare at this location and the staff treated us like family (especially Greg aka showtime). The lobby smelt amazing and felt like Christmas. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend thi

I want to like this property— it’s my second visit. This time I got room 302. One of the bay window rooms fronting Dearborn. At first entry, the room seems pretty magnificent— high ceilings and a large space and a large bath. A king size bed and the aforementioned bay window with

Does this hotel offer military rate/ discount?
This is not a big chain of hotels( e.g. Hilton etc.), however they offer some corporate discount. I would call them directly and ask before proceeding with your booking.

How long is the travel time from O'Hare Airport to Hotel Blake & where should I get off? How long is travel time to United Center from Blake Hotel & where should I get off?
If you can take the train ( Blue Line) would be the fastest option. However took us only half an hour when we arrive, however it was an hour and half in solid traffic on the way back to the airport when we left. For the United Center the Hotel Blake is very convenient, it was 10 min by taxi with light city traffic.

We are staying at the Blake hotel soon with our 3 young kids. What is within walking distance that would be fun for our kids to do or see?
Walk north up State Street or Michigan Avenue to the Chicago River Walk (at Wacker Drive). Jump on a river excursion boat. Maybe get them up to Navy Pier from there and ride the giant ferris wheel. Catch a cab or Uber back.

What breakfast choices are available around the area? Is it convenient to get to McCormick place convention centre?
There are many restaurants within walking distance and the helpful staff can certainly recommend someplace. I'm sorry, but I am not familiar with the convention center.

are there refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms?
We stayed in a corner king and had a small fridge but no microwave. I think it depends on your room layout.
