I am a usual traveler to Chicago, and I usually stay at the Hyatt and /or W hotel. This is my first time at the Ritz. While the hotel is going through a renovation , we had no issues. The room was large, clean, and neat. Had a lake view room, the staff was amazing and concierge was very good....

So it was my hubbys birthday weekend and I decided to take him out to dinner, at Alinea. We had to stay here to truly complete the experience. Fantastic location, great views and amazing service! They even had bday cake for him!

This hotel has it all - ambience, excellent accommodations, fine dining and a very courteous staff. And, it is perfectly located on the Magnificent Mile in Chicago. Great views form the Lakeside rooms.

We were so saddened by our stay at the Ritz, and I have stayed at many. No warning when I I booked through Expedia that the hotel was under renovation. No lobby. 2 sometimes it seemed 1 working elevators that you have to take first from the ground floor to the 12 floor ( temporary lobby), then to your room...

I'm a Marriott Platinium, booked a three night stay at the Ritz Chicago for a long weekend. Excellent staff, from doorman to front desk. That's where the good part ended. The room was a standard king room. Very average, not much more above a Marriott room. Bathroom very basic, with shower in the tub. Handle came of the controller when...

Hotel lobby is under construction, but you don't feel a thing. staff is well trained and supper nice. So much to do in this prime area. Will be back for sure. Anna at...

I travel to Chicago several times a year and have stay at many of the 4 star and 5 star hotels. This was my first time visiting the Ritz Carlton. I got a good deal, I believe because they are currently under construction. To that point, they were VERY respectful of guests and I heard virtually no noise. The only...

In November, I had a stem cell transplant at Northwestern University Prentice Women's Hospital. My husband and I decided to stay at the Ritz, because the hotel was within walking distance of the hospital and the property was always very clean. Finding a place to stay on multiple occasions for medical appointments was paramount. We needed to be confident that...

Once held up as the epitome excellent customer service, this Ritz-Carlton has lost its way. Jasper at the front desk is condescending and arrogant. Elite status means nothing here. That would be ok if the baseline service was better. No mini bar. Picture of pubes as bathroom art. Exception: housekeeping staff was stellar.

Great staff, service. Rooms are exceptionally quiet with very nice amenities. Even tho the reception area was undergoing a complete renovation, you would never have known it. Great price for exceptional value.
