Great Bar staff!!! The lobby of the hotel where the bar is located has a very nice atmosphere. The rooms are becoming dated, they are clean as is the entire hotel. The location is good, Chicago loop with walking distance to the Millennium park and the Magnificent mile shops.

One of the oldest hotels in the city, with lots of character, history and charm. The grand entrance and ballroom are majestic, the high decorated ceilings and walls are breathtaking and the rooms are luxurious and comfortable. It was one of the best hotel experiences I have had - from the time I checked in to the time I checked...

Everything you need is located within the hotel. Bathroom was tiny but room overall was spacious and very nice. Service is pretty good too. Unfortunately one guy at the bar acted snobbish toward me, which I'm still trying to figure out. I had asked for a 'house' cabernet and he laughed and said they only have 'good wine'. Um, OK?...

WE always enjoy the Palmer House. The staff was friendly , helpful and offered help before we asked for it in some cases. The executive lounge food was convenient and tasted fresh and good. Fegistration was easy and friendly.

It is a nice hotel. A bit dated and stayed there over the Thanks Giving time- and by all accounts a hotel for people/families who return. The front street reception is poor/ non- existent. Rooms " comfortable" however need of a renovation . Somewhat underwhelmed by the restaurants/food areas. The fitness centre, although dated, is a bonus. So I would...

Overall a good hotel, small room with double bed. The only complaint we had that the shower tub was "bubbled up" at the bottom and made us dizzy while taking showers and moving. Also, missing laundry bag.

Palmer House is a beautiful historic hotel. Staff is well trained and efficient. Quality restaurants. The bartender makes a great old-fashioned! Perfect location for the theater and shopping. It is within walking distance of Art Institute and trains/el.

Unfortunately, a once grand hotel is sliding into becoming a low-life tourist trap. My business travel happened to occur during the Ilinois Farm Bureau Conference. Who knew the farmers would behave so poorly and the hotel would do nothing to control them? It felt as if a hill-billy circus had taken over the entire floor I was on, all doors...

The lobby of this hotel is quite spectacular. There is a beautiful bar in the middle. Palmer House is a historic downtown Chicago hotel, that has been acquired by Hilton. The room was fairly dated and uninspiring. Overall a pretty good experience here, though don't expect the rooms to live up to the lobby.

We stayed in a "hip & historic" room with two tiny bathrooms--but it was perfect because we each had our own! Beautiful sitting area & two cozy beds, and the housekeeping is ON POINT--SPOTLESS!!! Only complaint ... no coffee in the room ... for $480/night, I'd expect it.
