This place was beautiful, but the staff were all less than accommodating. No one let me know about the $50 a night room fee that I would be getting back a week after my stay. And no one could sufficiently explain why when I asked...More
I just LOVE this property. This was my second trip to the Palmer House Hotel and I will be back again and again. THe hotel itself is just beautiful, and that first view of the fresco on the vaulted ceiling will always take my breath...More

While sitting there, in one of the most stunning hotel lobby's in Chicago, you can almost see and hear the past revelers that have come and gone throughout the hotel's illustrious 143 year history.

We stayed here for 4 nights in early February. This is an excellent hotel in great location. The staff from reception to bellboys are very friendly and great from getting directions from. We stayed on floor 23 which is the executive floor, AMAZING! Complimentary breakfast...More
Yes, it is a "historic" building. It is a huge hotel. It does have some really nice elements to it. Me and my girlfriend stayed here because she had a week long schooling at there convention halls at the hotel.

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

We’re here now and the Executive Club is terrible. I’ve experienced many clubs and this is by far the worst. The ‘evening appetizers’ were not appetizers but some horrible Chinese food. I mean awful orange chicken, a stir fry dish, rice and salad. Nothing else. And it was inedible and I’m not that picky. Breakfast is fruit, croissants and mini muffins, oatmeal with nothing to put in it but sugar, pancakes, and fake scrambled eggs. Bowls of plain yogurt, and some bread and mini bagels. No meat, pieces of fruit, no containers of yogurt, no bottled water or cans of soft drinks like every other club I’ve ever been in. 12 dollars for a glass of white wine. The amenities and breakfast are literally better at a Best Western, don’t waste your money. Also we have a lovely video of the ceiling of the fitness club and three walls. Hilton is a terrible cheap company that is ruining some lovely old hotels.

I must say that I'm truly puzzled by your question for two reasons. I cant speak to other Executive floors that you have experienced and our employees are very friendly and personable. Please ask for Earnest the next time that you visit as many of our guests come back simply because of him.

You can use valet parking that I think you reserve thru the Palmer House. We used SpotHero App to find public parking. Turned out it was the same garage as the valet uses. (124 S Wabash Ave). It is exclusive for Palmer House. Elevators direct to lobby. When you book, the app requires you to indicate arrival and departure. Departure from garage is based on your parking reservation not on hotel checkout time. Parking garage fee is most likely determined by time parked.
Hope this was helpful.
