My husband and I stayed in the King on the 2nd floor for a Memorial Day weekend get-away. The bed was super comfortable, but the room was too small to fit two people and their stuff comfortably. Also, you could see a little wear and tear around the edges - like the bathroom wallpaper for example. The exterior, lobby and...

The room itself was quite small, but I'm not complaining...I don't need a huge room on vacation. I didn't go to Chicago to hang out in the room. The room was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel was centrally-located with a great view. The hotel also has a lot of history, and the floor I...

The Burnham is a laudable restoration of a landmark Chicago office building. Try for a room on one of the upper floors, where there are still iron-railed staircases, frosted glass doors, hand-painted suite numbers, and marble-clad walls. (We were very happy that we upgraded to a State Street-facing suite.) The downtown location means an easy walk to to Millennium Park,...

It's a beautiful hotel, and I had a perfect room on the "historic floor," the 8th. Location is great for downtown, Grant Park, Art Institute. Easy access to public transit, very easy to get to Miracle Mile and Boystown, and to Midway Airport. Only problem with location is finding food nearby-- options tend to be either haute cuisine or fast...

Hotel Burnham is a lovely hotel with a superb staff. Loved the wine hour and the people that work the desk go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. My only complaints are that the bathroom is tiny, with only a pedestal sink and a small glass shelf and it seemed as if they turned off the air conditioning...

My husband and I spent a long weekend in Chicago recently. My girlfriend and I stayed two nights in this hotel. The location is great and most attractions are close. The room was very small, but I guess that is the price of location. If you enjoy cookie cutter properties, this isn't the place for you. But if you enjoy unique, historic properties then you will enjoy the Burnham.
