Beautiful campsites. They are well maintained and surrounded by lodgepole pines. It is up the road (hill), above the campgrounds by the lake. Are remarkable place. As you come into the valley you see the lake and a definite demarcation of grasslands to forest. A number of walking paths/hikes. Loads of wild berries, so consequently wild life. We were walking...

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon, we stayed in the jacuzzi suite which was fairly new, clean, king bed fireplace and a small kitchenette. The bathroom had a double shower head which was a great feature to me. We arrived on a Thursday and left on Tuesday. The only food at the hotel is called Buglers, we...

This was our 4th visit to the lodge but unfortunately the place has gone downhill. I noticed right away that the grounds desperately needed to be maintained (weeded and removal of the beer cans on the picnic table). The outdoor fireplace is wrecked and can't be used and is wrapped up with a bunch of tape. The rooms need a...

We drove all day to get to the lodge, it was late afternoon on the May long weekend when we arrived, and we were looking forward to a nice dinner at the on-site restaurant,... only to be told that the restaurant was closed, open only on Friday and Saturday. We were directed to the Cookhouse at the visitor centre, which...

My husband and I decided to stay at this location, because we had never been to this area before. We rented a Jacuzzi suite. Overall the room appeared nice, until further investigation. The first thing that I noticed that the bedspread had a stain on it, but that can always be removed and put on the floor. Later on after...

The place itself is a bit dingy. We stayed in a Loft Suite on Friday and then a Condo with friends Saturday. It worked out $230 for room then $170 a couple for a three bed condo. I suppose they can get away with it because there is no competition. I felt ripped off and would stay in Medicine Hat...

We're a family of four, two girls aged 8 and 5. We stayed in a standard lodge room with two queen beds on a military rate. Room: clean, tidy and spotless. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of TV channels, TV could do with an update. Bathroom was lovely. Microwave, coffee maker and sink. No crockery or cutlery. Ground floor with...

My husband and I have stayed here twice before, the last time being a few years ago. We went to Elkwater for a 'romantic get away' and snowshoe, cross country ski etc. We rented our usual fireplace suite at the lodge and based our expectations on our prior experiences.. when we entered the hotel we expected the usual warm welcoming...

This building is only ten years old, but is already showing wear and tear. I made the comment in the lobby that they had decorated for halloween, but the cobwebs were real. There are ridges in the carpet so large they pose a trip hazard. The restaurant is closed and has been for some time. They claim it is "under...
