Middle age guy just passing through and with an after tax on line no cancel price of $48 it was fine. Room was dated but clean. Had a fridge and microwave. Lock was hard to work but did lock. Indian guy at desk was polite. The goal was a cheap bed to hop in, get up and go in the morning. A little further west ( 10 miles ? ) of I 57 than I wanted but worth it. Eat before you get there as for 9:00pm on a Thurs not much open for a moderate sized town. A BK, local burger drive thru only, Walgreens and a few things right there. My goal was met just fine.

Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Room was clean and up to date, Plenty of room and a nice view.

It pains me to be negative, but I cannot recommend this motel, and I’ll tell you why.
We were attending a local conference, and Centralia offers just two motel choices. Both had poor reviews, but I’d previously stayed here, maybe 12 years ago, at that time it was dated, but clean, so I assumed the reviews perhaps penalized it, for being old.
Upton driving up to the motel, I was reminded of a motel, perhaps inhabited by transients , the homeless and drug addicts, but it did get two stars, so I proceeded.
My room was okay. Of course dated, but it did have a TV, which got great reception, and lots of channels. It also had a microwave, and a refrigerator. There was only a shower, but that was okay too.
Then, while watching TV, I noticed what I thought was a chocolate spill on my shirt, upon closer examination, I noticed it was a roach. I killed it, and soon, two others.
Throughout the night, I heard stuff moving. I’d hoped they were roaches, not mice, but I’m still not sure which they were.
You might be asking, “Why did I stay?”….well it was late, there was a blizzard.
In the morning, I walked to the office/lobby for the complimentary breakfast – It consisted of NOTHING!
I will NEVER go back to this motel, and would urge no one to stay here.

This motel is infested with bed bugs ! Do yourself a favor and don't give this motel a second glance! It stank of dead animals and as I said it is totally infested with bedbugs. Never in my life have I had a worse experience! When I told the owner of Knights inn about his infestation of bedbugs he asked us to leave his "fine establishment " we were way ahead of him ! We ended up at the bell tower in a part of best inns . Save your blood it's not worth being eaten by the bedbugs! Oh my god what a horrible place to stay!

I arrived here in Centralia about two weeks ago to visit friends. I stayed at this hotel and I don't reccomend it to anyone. The staff is horrible and very rude. They would only give us clean towels once a week which is very unsanitary when your a nurse. There was cock roaches everywhere. We even had magats on several occasions. You are not allowed to have the air on at all. They shut the breaker off to my room because he said having it on was running his bill up. The rooms were mold infested. I had to go to a hospital and get shots because my feet were all messed up from the shower floors. They don'ttake pride in anything. The owner wwould cuss us and yell at us everyday because we would ask for towels. This is a horrible hotel. Plus there is drugs all in the hotel. We actually seen the staff doing drugs through the window. I do plan on taking this to the health department and will be filling a law suit against the hotel. I do not reccomed it to anyone. I am from Dalton, Georgia and I promise you I will never stay here again.

This place is absolutely Unprofessional. The first room that we were placed in had mold on the window seals in the restroom, tv that didnt even work, and NASTY bed sheets and blanket and bugs. So we asked to be moved to a different rooms and that one was a little better. Cleaner sheets and blankets and everything but there was still mold in the restroom. So we went and complained and they didnt even bother to come look or anything so I myself bleached/cleaned it and everything else in the room. Its some what quit during the day but at night there was LOUD noise sometimes till 2a.m.
If it wernt for the fact we'd already paid and couldnt afford to go to a different hotel we would have left.

Would not reccomend to anyone not even for price Has cockroaches also.Drive on out past Walmart because the ONLY other hotel is Best Western by walmart. Bell tower ONLY houses flight students now.Or go to Holiday Inn in Salem,Illinois.

While certainly not the newest or best equipped motel I've ever stayed in, Knights Inn was quite adequate for my needs and the price was right. But, the truly fascinating thing about the stay was a friend stayed in an adjoining room that actress Jane Russell had stayed in in 1986. The cleaning crew the next morning showed us a room actor Gregory Peck stayed in. Awesome room with a great history. I recommend you splurge and get the "Peck" room with the round bed. I know I will next time I go to Centralia.
