this b&b was a wonderful place first thing that catches your eye is the architecture of the b&b inside and out pictures don't do it justice and the hand carved front door and the fire place to name a few Brian and Alex are amazing they answered any question's that we had even help with restaurant suggestions great staff all...

Gorgeous building. Friendly helpful staff, dogs and chickens. Very close to town but you feel as if you are in your own little world. I like supporting family businesses. This family goes out of it's way to support the local community, the veterinary community and does regular charity work outside of the country.

Sandpoint isn't the easiest town to navigate and this place took a bit of effort, but the reward was worth it. The first indication that this place was exceptional was the handcrafted front door. Seconds after that was the wonderful greeting from our host Heather who treated us as though we were friends she had been anticipating for months. At...

Susan and I are fans of special B & Bs and over the past 30 years we have found just two that were exceptional, now we have three! Talus Rock is a true labor of love, painstakingly created by the owners over many years with an eye to design and comfort. The main building is both warm and welcoming, as...

We found this magical place, by searching lodging close by, as we were finishing up our adventure through the Canadian Rockies. Our room was so relaxing in every way! Soaker tub for 2, a double headed open shower in the shape of a tree, incredibly comfortable bed, copper tiles on the ceiling above the bed. Such attention to detail everywhere...

In medieval terms, romance was a term used to describe stories of adventure and mystery. Not to be over-dramatic, but from the moment one enters the forest of this stunning estate, there is a feeling of peace and beauty; a sense of wonder. This feeling only grows as you approach the home and walk about within. The rooms are comfortable...

This place is so lovely and it's only three minutes from town and just a quick bike ride up to fabulous single track mountain biking. The caretakers are so kind and accommodating. Literally all you hear from your room is water bubbling from waterfalls in the landscaping and an occasional chicken or duck. It was absolutely one of my favorite...

Hi Holly! Thank you so much; knowing you had such a great stay means a lot to us! We are so glad you took advantage of some of the great stuff there is to do around here, right in our backyard. I am glad that it worked out so well with your son's soccer game being at the park just...

My friend and I decided to take a road trip and had only 4 days so we chose Sandpoint, Idaho for our destination and Talus Rock Retreat for our accommodation. Our plan was to spend 2 nights there and then travel to Spokane so we could see and do a little more. Initially I was slightly disappointed that only the...

Our first trip to Sandpoint was only enhanced by the most enjoyable accommodations at Talus Rock Retreat. The surrounding natural beauty, the wonderful hosts, the great breakfasts, and of course the most friendly dogs. We will definitely stay with these folks again on our next trip to Sandpoint.
