Our Granddaughter chose to go to Lava for her graduation trip. We stayed at the Aladdin upstairs. Our bathroom was across the hall, it was so fabulous. A little Aladdin door that stepped down into a fun bathroom. Jacuzzi tub, double sinks and cute decor. It was very warm in the evening so I recommend leaving the windows open. Our...

The place is old, like ancient native american healing grounds, and 1930's brick hospital. Some say it's haunted with friendly ghosts. No doubt the entire property is in need of work. One of my bed lamps had exposed wires and a broken top so the bulb hung down, there are cats around and the dining hall had a smell of...

The hot spring pools are nice but the mattress needs to be replaced - had absolutely no support. We woke up with our backs in pain. Of course we only got 6 hours of sleep because the walls are so paper thin we could hear the 3 girls next to us ordering pizza and talking - I could recite her...

Stay away. Very unkept , unsafe un appealing pools. Over priced placed to stay. They need to hire a good maintenance person and a great greens keeper with extra help. Weeds everywhere. Broken cement and rocks around pool. Black looking water or walls in the pools. Very slippery and un-appealing. Not coming back

If sharing bathrooms isn't quite your thing, make sure to reserve one of the Jacuzzi rooms. It didn't have a shower but beats the communal bathrooms. Free breakfast every morning was a huge plus. The hotel was extremely quiet which helped add to a very relaxing stay. There were about 8 pools which varied in temperatures and kept very clean....

We stayed at the Aladdin location which was not to far from the main hotel. It was in a charming old building. Our room had a queen bed downstairs and much to our surprise the other two beds were upstairs in our room, the room was more like a small house that just a hotel room. Our room was clean...

First off i just want to note that the reason i gave the Lava Inn 2 stars is because it is definitely not worth the price for what you get. The pictures on their website have been carefully taken to not show the "true colors" of this place. Also half of the pictures posted have absolutely nothing to do with...

We arrived thinking this was the place where our reservations were made. As we made our way inside, we noticed the slimy looking pools and run-down facility. The inside was not much better. We were greeted at the desk, not by a "hello" or "may I help you", but with a brisk "what room are you in?". When we explained...

The room is clean but not much more than a bed, bath room across the hall, the light bulbs aren't even the same, the decor is something from garage sale finds, the grounds need some real TLC, still have Christmas stuff around, the pools are not inviting, the evening lighting is a shop light hanging on the fence! I am...

Dear "Not Fussy", Our Inn is , along with many other buildings in Lava, composed of buildings and grounds approximately 90-100 years old. It is now the end of a long winter with spring flowers yet to bloom. Our decor is eclectic and made up of antique items. We are certain that 'Not Fussy" can find things that are inviting...

The lava hot springs inn is an older establishment that has layers of generations all around. Mix that with local flavor and you have an eclectic place of interest. It's has a BB feel. The many hot spring/pools of varying degrees make it possible for everybody to enjoy the springs.
