Okay this place has the ugliest carpet ever. It was a turn off walking in and to our room. It was vacuumed clean, no crumbs on it, but it is shabby, stained, and down right dirty looking!! BUT everything else was WONDERFUL. The entire building is non-smoking. Our room smelled clean. Our room, a double/double was small. Great for an... More

Thanks for your comments and helping our guests know what they are getting. The brown carpet was put in to match the rustic flair of the hotel but I agree not my favorite color and doesn't give a clean look. We will be replacing the hallways and rooms carpet this fall. We will choose something other than brown. :) More

Traveling with a group of adults (6 total) we stayed here for the night. The hotel was charming and the staff very nice and friendly. The pool and hot tub where great as well. The room was clean and beds ok. Outside, they provided a small picnic area with the gorgeous mountains and gondola for our view. Across the street and... Small room with no bedside table or lamp on one side of the bed. Insufficient outlets that are addressed with inconvenient power strips. A/C and heating unit has no thermostat, so it's a real guess where to set it. I'd strongly suggest staying at the Morning Star Lodge across the street. More modern and upscale.

Mgr Alex Hart went out off his way to help us; always a friendly smile & wave. His tenor extends to whole staff. Stacey welcomed us. Looked up churches for us to attend on Sunday. Housekeeping joked with us. Have traveled all over world as construction engr staying in camps to 5 star resorts. Never remember the facility but always... More

We were fortunate to find this hotel to stay in as a base for exploring Wallace and riding bicycles on the Trail of the Hiawatha. It was clean, had a decent breakfast, wifi, and a laundry available. Wish we would have had time to take the tram, maybe next time!

We needed an overnight stop point in Kellogg and the Guesthouse was our choice. The room was comfortable, the bed especially so. The table was appreciated and the free WiFi was very quick. (although the short "life to live " (around 30 minutes or so) required one authenticate frequently). The breakfast is pretty much the standard continental variety (cereal, toast,... More

Picking up a car at Dave Smith Auto in Kellogg, ID, Guesthouse offers a great rate and made it easy after the 500 mile road trip to get there. Nice people behind the desk, fresh coffee at 4:30am the morning I left. Thanks!

We were at the Grand Tetons and wanted to stop into Washington State before heading to Glacier. Kellogg was a convenient stop and we were just expecting a hotel along the interstate. We were wrong! This is a ski lodge that is very pretty. Our room was conveniently close to the lobby with no lobby noise. The bed was comfortable... More

It was a girls trip from Seattle and most of us rode the entire trail in 4 sections over 4 days. We had great weather a little head wind but all an all a very lovely time. Having a nice breakfast before we got on the trails was so convenient. And we loved the nice restaurants around the area. We... More
