Quaint little hotel on Lido close to Waterbus and main avenue. Pleasant staff and good choice for breakfast. Only downside very thin walls and noisy clients do not mix but you can not really blame to hotel for this. Otherwise an ok stay for the price

We have just returned from this hotel. We had a lovely room with a balcony; very clean and spacious. The location is very good; just a short walk from the vaporetti. The breakfast was good value with enough choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would certainly return here and would recommend it to others.

We enjoyed 4 nights at the Hotel Rigel this September. It was easy to get to on the Vapouretto and a mere short walk away from the stop. The hotel managers were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about places to see a little bit off the tourist grid - even got us tickets for a concert at San Vital Church one...

Nice hotel at Lido, boat station only 6 mins away. Facilities are also good, comfortable bed. Only thing you feel, that city center a little bit away. But still okay to go all the places. Reception guy explained well, places to visit. Breakfast can be better

Loved stay on Lido..! Away from all the crowds of Venice.. Hotel Rigel, is a nice, quiet, clean hotel. Has A/C, daily breakfast, rooms were on the smaller side, but this is Italy..Close to the water bus, main strip and beaches. Loved the eating on the outside patio, good way to start the day..

This was our first bigger hotel of our trip. We had been staying in Bed & Breakfasts so were unsure how we would like it. Our first impression of the hotel, when we got to our room, was that the room was very small. However, the rest of the hotel made up for it. Even though the room itself a...

Its very easy to get here, we took the airport bus into town, then the 5.1 vaporetto to the Lido and walked less than 5 mins to the hotel. On first impression its an older style looking building but once inside its a modern lobby and the rooms are clean and decent sized. Breakfast was fairly standard and lots of...

We drove across to the Lido via the number 17 ferry, which was very straightforward. Having previously reserved a parking space, we left our car in the tiny car park (only 4 spaces, so you must reserve). The welcome was warm and efficient, and we were impressed by the lobby area, as it was very cool on a very hot...

The hotel is in a very good, quiet location. It is close to the Vaporetti and restaurants. Free Wi-Fi is provided. The staff are very helpful, courteous and friendly. The rooms are very clean and kept this way on a daily basis, and the air conditioning works perfectly. A varied and fresh continental breakfast is available, and the size of...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel Rigel, built in the 60's, is situated on one of the most important islands of Venice. Its importance and uniqueness are due to being the only one facing the Adriatic Sea on one side and on the other the basin of St. Mark's, just before the historical Square of St.Mark's, centre of the ancient Republic of Venice. Another characteristic that makes it unique, compared to all other islands of the Lagoon, is the possibility to reach it by car, avoiding problems and costs of car-parking either in Mestre (mainland) or at the Tronchetto (car-park). The hotel has 42 rooms on three floors connected by lift. The rooms nearly all have classical-style furnishings, are luminous, some with a small balcony and all with bathroom, shower, air conditioning, telephone with direct outside line, satellite TV, and a wireless internet connection. There is an internet point in the Hall. The Buffet breakfast is open from 7,00 to 10,00 a.M. In the breakfast room on the ground floor, while the restaurant is only open for organised groups. The hotel bar is open 24 hours a day. ... more   less
