Quirky, bizarre and odd, I can understand some of the negative reviews (although certainly not the one about rude staff). It is certainly the antithesis of the modern hotel chain and in my opinion all the better for that. Yes, the rooms can be a little 'musky' and dark, the WiFi struggles to get to the top floor, the decor...

When we first arrived at this hotel our breath was taken away, its in a quiet neighbourhood, the ground are surrounded with flowers and trees and going into the building we taken back by how interesting and unique this hotel was we loved it but that was soon to sour with the staff, they were the rudest, nastiest people we...

I highly recommend this hotel. Old-school, cosy and makes you feel at home. Insane prices on the mini-bar compared to the 3 other hotels we stayed at during our vacation. High-priced kitchen as well, but the kitchen has good food.

We stayed at this hotel while on our tour of Italy. We arrived at the hotel and I was very keen to get to our room partly after a long journey but mainly because of the charming exterior of the hotel, due to the pretty gardens and outdoor chairs and tables. However as soon as we entered the lobby my...

The positives certainly outweigh the negatives with this hotel. A few minor adjustments and it would be perfect. The main negative is the quality of the twin beds we had - it was a choice of either a reasonable bathroom or a double bed and we went for the twin beds. Not a choice you would expect to make in...

If you've watched all the old movies and dreamed of staying in a hotel with personality and charm you've come to the right place! If you are looking for modern rooms, elevators, a generic chain hotel experience, you'll be disappointed. For my own personal taste, this was a vacation dream come true. My family and I found the rooms clean,...

We stayed here for 4 nights during May. The first impression of the hotel was really nice. The garden is really pretty with loads of flowers and trees. The communal area leading to our room had a grandfather clock and plenty of cute little features. Breakfast was really good and the hot chocolate is to die for! The little lady...

This was our second time to stay and we loved it just as much as the first time. From the time you walk through the gate and are greeted with the scents from the abundance of the floral plants, you know you have escaped the chaotic intensity on San Marcos. A short walk offers many restaurant choices. Our Trafalgar tour...

This is a nice but basic hotel, ticks all the boxes for a quiet hotel close to the beach. The hotel staff are friendly. On our arrival our room wasn’t quite ready so we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. We chose to have the vegetable risotto and I have to say it was lovely! The hotel is about...

We stayed at this hotel for a second time in May and its great value for money, staff most helpful and gardens lovely. Beautiful antique furniture throughout the hotel. Our room's twin bed matresses were a bit tired. However its close to the beach and would recommend without hesitation. Really convenient to arrive by private water taxi.
