A Historic Coeur d'Alene Inn with 15 rooms and suites all with queen or king beds and private baths. We have been described as a boutique hotel with the home comforts of a bed and breakfast. Our Gordon Ramsay designed menu will delight the pallette. Voted best breakfast several years running by Inn Traveler Magazine as well as best handicapped facility and romantic stay in the Northwest. We provide a lovely ball room on property as well as complimentary fitness facility at OZ fitness center just around the corner. Located just a few short blocks from the lake and all the waterfront activities and downtown dining makes The Roosevelt Inn an ideal location for visitors.

The Roosevelt Inn proved to be the perfect spot for a romantic vacation. It is located within walking distance of the lake with its boat tours, Tubbs Hill with its hiking trails and the charming old downtown with unique shops and delicious restaurants. We rarely used our car.

We stayed 5 days with John and Tina in this converted elementary school house. The Inn was all decked out for Halloween. Warm hospitality with a hearty breakfast. An easy walk to the lake and shopping district. Our first time to Coeur d'Alene, and they were helpful with place

Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. All of our expectations were exceeded. Tina and John were incredibly gracious hosts, always offering to make our stay more comfortable, but we had everything we needed.

I've stayed in a lot of B&Bs over the years and I was disappointed in Roosevelt Inn considering the price and location. It was a few blocks from the main stretch in town but surrounded by a vacant lot and some homes/buildings in major disrepair. This is not their fault in the lea

Thank you for taking the time to relay your feelings about our Inn. Sorry to hear you were disappointed in some aspects. Please understand that we have over 2,000 people through our Inn in any given year, so we have to paint with a wide brush stroke to accommodate as many peoples likes as possible. We have a marketing company that works exclusively with B & B's through out the country and they give us advice and strategies to make our business viable and relative to today's travelers. We have been in business for over 20 years now and have seen our demographic shift. When we started, the vast majority of our business was the baby boomer group, but now that has shifted to the Gen X and Y and even the Millennial's and they do not want lace, and chargers. They look for clean lines a more modern feel to there surroundings, so to stay in business we have to do SOME changing with the times. We have tried to incorporate a more modern feel to some of our rooms, while at the same time, we try to carry some of the historic aspect and feel to stay true to what and who we are. Our professional photographers from Philadelphia who took the wonderful photos on our website applauded our melding of two eras in a cohesive manner. Travelers today are concerned with carbon footprints, being green, sustainability, etc. so we do not use tablecloths we have our beautiful antique tables uncovered. Our eggs made to order is actually our most favored breakfast, along with the Fiesta Ole casserole. As you know we have a cookbook and the Ole', bread pudding and apple cider pancakes, which we serve everyday, sell the most cookbooks. We do not use leftovers to make the next day's breakfast. We know we cannot please all of our guest 100% all of the time, but we do try hard to please everyone as much as possible. Thank you again for taking the time to express your opinion and we hope with this explanation you will understand our business model and visit us again in the future. Warmest regards, John and Tina Hough

This is a wonderful place. The rooms were VERY clean but a bit small. . Everyone here was very nice and kind. I was even offered help with our luggage. After being on the road for several days we found this to be a nice cozy place.
