Staff are the highlight of this location. Very accommodating. Facility is very clean. They are due for an update, but the staff are doing well to keep the facilities maintained. Very nice front end staff, cooks and housekeeping.

I always love staying at Hyatt hotels however this stay wasn't the typical 5 stars.

The rooms were clean and comfortable as usual, however two things dropped the rating from 5 to 4 stars because:
1. there was a fire alarm at 3 am without explanation or apology at departure.
2. the grab and go breakfast was less than impressive.

While I truly appreciate the fact the fire alarms are working and the fire department arrived, I would have liked an explanation or apology at checkout as to the nature of the alarm.

There were two breakfast options:
1. Boiled egg, string cheese, Trail mix, yogurt, apple
2. Muffin, granola bar, yogurt, apple (maybe one other thing but I can't remember)
Coffee was available and juice on request. The juice was a small juice box for a child and was very artificial. I understand the apple choice is the heartiest fruit, but consider a citrus fruit or banana.
Each option was pre packaged for quick service, but I think the hotel could save/improve if:
1. if the items could be selected by the guest as not everyone will want the yogurt or fruit option meaning wasted food.
2. offer a bottled juice or water option, (I was told I could buy water or walk to the water dispenser in the gym for water)
3. provide a cereal, package of single serve oatmeal, or hot sandwich or microwavable burrito

I was quite disappointed with the breakfast especially after the long sleepless night but at least grateful there was something to eat. Knowing that other Hyatt places and even a Best Western figured out how to serve a hot breakfast really turned me off to this location. That being said, I understand that times are different in Covid-19 and would probably give this location another try during safer times to travel.

Thank you so much for your detailed report of your stay. It is so important we hear from our guests! Our breakfast has been modified since you stayed, we do now have a hot item available each day (breakfast sandwich, french toast, hot cereal). I am sure we will modify it again in the next few months with even more options! I am so sorry there was no apology or explanation regarding the fire alarm went off. We do know how inconvenient this is and are so sorry it happened at 3am! I do hope you give us another chance and stay with us again!

My sister and I took a vacation to Boise for the first time, and we were so happy to stay at Hyatt (being a rewards member is amazing!) The value for the room was incredible. The room was very spacious, with two beds and a sleeper sofa. We loved having a mini fridge in the room (with an extra sink and coffee bar as well). My sister slept great, however I was not too crazy about the beds/pillows. She prefers flat pillow, I prefer more fluffy ones. Recommend bringing your own if you feel the same way. The shower was pretty good as well, as we've stayed at hotels with very low water pressure.

One of the appeals to this hotel particularly was the airport shuttle service. Unfortunately when we arrived to the airport, I called for the shuttle and was told the service was not offered (due to COVID, not sure how that makes sense?)

The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was nice for the limited selection. I would like more ice machines available, as we kept having to bug the front desk staff for ice refills. The onsite gym was small and smelt a little funky, so we didn't end up using it.

The location was great, being close to the airport cut down on Uber costs. There were many stores/food places all around, which was very convenient. We also weren't too far from downtown area, Idaho river, and the green belt. Our last day we rented electric bikes and rode around the green belt (amazing experience!)

During our stay there were many sports teams with lots of loud teenagers running around which was annoying, but not Hyatt's fault. Overall great stay and would definitely return!

We have visited the Treasure Valley many times in the last few years and by far, our stay at the Hyatt Place Boise Town Square was the best! Because we were planning a weeklong visit, we looked for an updated/newer hotel at a reasonable rate in a central location and this Hyatt did not disappoint. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful our entire stay, the room was perfect for a longer trip, and the location was ideal. In addition, this may be the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in (and we heard this comment from other guests too). We never heard a door slam, voices in the hallway or noise from the street – amazing! The only complaint (and it’s very minor) is there are limited options for eggs and waffles on a daily basis. Otherwise, you’ll find the Boise Hyatt Place Town Square hard to beat for quality, comfort and value.

I was disappointed by the breakfast options available...much less than a good continental breakfast. Hot option was instant oatmeal (loaded with sugar) and a croissant. Fruit option was a banana. There was no coffee avaialble except to order by a gal who worked constantly (she was pleasant) serving coffee so weak, that youi ha=d to ask for expresso shots to get a hint of strong coffee. ALSO, heater in room didn't work at all...I adjusted it multiple times, but it never made the thermostat move and room was very cold all night. I honestly think that Hyatt owes me a free room somewhere, as I always/only stay with them. This stay was way below par, and I am tempted to dispute the charge with my credit card provider.

Thank you so much for your review. We are really hoping to modify our breakfast again! We used to have a wonderful buffet, so this is a big change for us due to COVID. We should be modifying it again really soon with an increase in options. I will research to see what happened with the coffee as we do have complimentary coffee out for our guests (self-serve) during breakfast and Starbucks espresso as a paid option. I am sorry to hear you had trouble with your heater! I will have our engineering team look at this to see why this was happening. I apologize for these inconveniences during your stay. Please reach out to me directly if you are coming back through and I will take care of your night. Thank you again for your comments, it is so important we hear from our guests!

The Hotel and room were really nice. The service was not what I expected at a Hyatt. We didn't read the fine print about only servicing the room every three days. We asked about getting our room cleaned at the front desk and we were told they only serviced the rooms every few days. Well, we stayed 5 nights and the only service that we got was on the fourth day was to have the dirty towels picked up, garbage emptied, and a roll of toilet paper replaced. We had to go to the desk every day for towels and coffee if we wanted them. Neither the phone nor the alarm clock worked in the room. The breakfast was cold every day, but they did have a microwave to warm it up in. I would have written this directly to the hotel but there isn't a direct way to send them an Email. Also, I sent Hyatt corporation this and didn't even get a reply. I see the replies on here all look the same saying we will look into it.

Friendly staff, however, the hotel is very tired and in need of refreshing inside and out.

Breakfast options (healthy that is) minimal. I didn't see any staff wiping dining tables after guests were finished eating. No one was enforcing the mask policy nor the latex gloves when getting food. What is the point?!

Bedding linens and pillows, especially the pillows were pitiful.

The cleaning staff was very helpful when we asked for fresh towels, soap, etc. Give them a thumbs up!

This hotel was not as advertised. My room was dark and dingy with a very musty dirty smell. We needed to dump our own trash pick up fresh towels since when on vacation it’s very difficult to give the 24 hour notice for housekeeping services. ( we were required to be out of the room, which was fine, but that far in advance we didn’t have definite plans)

I arrived at the Hyatt Place Boise/Towne Square at 11:00 pm with a pre-paid, confirmed reservation after a long day of travel. The front desk agent said she needed to call a manager who knew which rooms were clean. As a frequent business traveler, I found it odd any rooms were still being cleaned at that hour. After a few minutes, the manager arrived and admitted the hotel was overbooked and there were no rooms available.

I sat down in the lobby and started looking for alternatives, quickly finding out there were none on Expedia or Priceline within a 3 hour drive (nearest Hailey, Idaho). While I searched, other parties were being checked in as normal. I went back to the desk, where the clerk explained that since my booking was through a third party, they were choosing to honor reservations made directly with the hotel, which earn more money. She blamed everyone except her own hotel, calling it Priceline’s fault, my fault for booking with Priceline and a computer system’s fault.
Now midnight, I left and found a nearby parking lot to sleep in the back seat of my rented sedan. Thankfully it wasn’t cold and I was not robbed. But I barely got any sleep before another long day of work and travel.

In a decade of business travel, I have NEVER been forced into such a precarious situation by a hotel. This property never attempted to contact me or Priceline in the six hours between when I made the reservation and when I arrived. None of the four front desk agents offered to assist me in any way, not even with obtaining a refund for the $165 I spent. I was literally dumped to the street at midnight with nowhere to go.

Stay away from this Place.

Staff were kind and professional. COVID protocols in place made us feel safe. Grandson was happy with pool. Room was nice and spacious and clean. Breakfast was plentiful, offered prepackaged food that we could take to our room to minimize exposures. Nice quiet location, but close to many restaurants and shops.
