Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Chandlers restaurant was the only highlight of my trip. After being a very loyal customer since it was originally opened, this was the last time I will stay there. They gave me a handicap accessible room, which I don't need. The shower water flooded the bathroom. I used the floor mat to keep it from running out onto the carpet. They didn't even replace it the 2nd day. They gave me a room directly above the active remodel work. Construction continued all day Saturday and Sunday. So I got to listen to drilling and cutting all day long. The front door had been knocked off its track so it was freezing cold air in the lobby all weekend. I'm done staying at Hotel 43.

We had a very nice stay. The check-in and check-out process was easy and smooth. The room was pleasant. We had no problem with the renovation, there was clearly marked signage. We enjoyed our excellent dinner at Chandler's.

Convenient location. We knew there was construction and it did not affect our stay. Must go to Chandlers for a nice dinner… the food, desert and drinks were great. Close to the Grove and Boise state.

I am leaving this review on behalf of my sister’s experience as she was traveling alone for business and six months pregnant and was having some health issues during her stay. The front office staff and general manager were more than accommodating and exceeded my expectations in assisting her during a difficult time. Dawn and Piper answered my phone call and immediately jumped on assisting me, and ensuring my sister was as comfortable as she could be, while traveling alone. I have been working with the Marriott Brand for over 13 years, so I take it customer service very seriously and I am so happy to know that my sister had a wonderful stay, even though she did not have any of her friends and family with her. Thank you both !!!

The hotel was under a major renovation! There is currently no lobby and teh check in was located in a random hotel room. It is very difficult to navigate. The room was old and the furnishings were worn. The room was $317 for the night which was way more expensive than their sister hotel The Grove, which is much nicer. I would not recommend this hotel.

Would highly recommend avoiding this hotel during this time as. there is MAJOR construction in the hotel. Two floors are not available (jackhammering all day), the staff is in a converted room on the second floor (checking in with luggage through a narrow maze was not ideal) , there is nowhere to relax other than in your room (no common area). Very disappointed that this is not posted anywhere on their website as I would have not chosen to stay here. I'm sure if not all of the construction this would be a wonderful place to stay as the two ladies in the "office" are making the best of the situation.

Hotel 43 always delivers a great experience because of the service and location. The personal, friendly service cannot be matched. The location is in the heart of downtown connected to a fantastic very expensive restaurant with a jazz band.

Stayed with my wife for a concert, staff put a bottle of wine in our room prior to us arriving by request. Very comfortable beds, nice shower, everything was clean and comfortable. The hotel is a gem and located walking distance from downtown. Have stayed several times and will do again!

Stylish with some of the feel of the original Kimpton hotels. Our room was comfortable and adequately appointed. Great location for exploring downtown Boise on foot. My first indication of poor housekeeping supervision is when I step into a room to see all the lampshades cockeyed and listing akimbo. There was an annoying around-the-clock mechanical sound coming from the HVAC duct in the room and the sliding shower door appears to have become stuck in place long ago. There was litter on the floor of the room and the bathroom when we arrived. And housekeeping skipped us entirely during our stay. I'm guessing this property is coasting on business from one-time visitors.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Hotel 43. The rooms are always comfortable with little or no disturbance from other guests or street noise. Hotel 43 has been our go to staycation for years!
