After a couple hours of riding we settled on this place for lunch. There were about 10 people there when we arrived and a few people stopping in for gas. There were 4 of us for lunch. Food was ok and we each had a drink. No french fries today. Our bill came to $40 Place was clean and cozy....

Thank you for your review. I am sorry we didn't meet your expectations and that I miscalculated how busy we would be and ran out of our fresh french fries. We do appreciate reviews...both good, which we usually get, and those that will help us improve. Thank you for visiting our beautiful Voyageurs National Park snowmobile trails and perhaps you...

My son and I visited Ash Trail Lodge located on the Ash River in northern Minnesota the last week of Sept. 2016. The resort has log cabins that were clean and efficient. The beds were comfy and the surrounding grounds of the resort were well kept. This resort is set up for the fisherman. Each cabin has a dock assigned...

I come here every year, I come for the food. Their cabins look very nice, though. But every time I eat here I try something different and everything I've eaten has been really good. I've had the frog legs, walleye, prime rib and all of it was excellent. I absolutely love her soups, stews, popcorn salad, and BLT salad.

Stayed here one night while traveling cross-country and visiting the local NP. Since we were staying only one night, we stayed in one of the rooms adjoining the dining hall. Nice room for the price and was just what we needed for visiting the NP. Nothing fancy, simply clean and comfortable. There are 3 rooms available for stays less than...

Gorgeous location in northern Minnesota's Voyageur's National Park area, but what really makes this spot terrific is the hospitality of Deb & Steve, the owners who do everything imaginable to make your stay fantastic and hassle-free. They run a simple but fun bar/lounge/restaurant ... the featured "prime rib night" and "fish fry" are fantastic and VERY reasonably priced. The cabins...

If you want to stay on the Ash River, this is the place! Steve and Deb are wonderful hosts. The cabin we stayed in - Tamarack - was beautiful! Clean and spacious and comfy beds and pillows. The food at the lodge is all homemade and delicious! We also rented a fishing boat from them and, although we had outboard...

My girls and I only visited for one night. I needed a last minute boat ride to Ellsworth rock gardens, Kettle Falls Dam and Hotel, Ash River Falls and also Junction Bay Falls. Dominic was able to help me out on a Sunday night. Debbie and Steve were super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this year round resort....

There are many places to fish in Northern Minnesota and Ontario. Ash Trail Lodge provides very good fishing if you know what you are doing, and a fine guide service if you need some help as we did. Four of us broke Dominic's boat record by catching 56 fish in one day. 17 were keepers and provided a nice dinner....

My family has been visiting this area for approx. 15 years now. We have stayed @ Ash Trail Lodge a number of times and wouldn't stay any other place. Steve, Deb and Tom are excellent hosts.
