If charming hosts who treat you like friends with attention to every detail a guest might want is your thing, then Ashford Manor is your get-away place. Seven high school girlfriends took over the two cottages on the estate for 4 nights in May. The bedrooms and baths were large and comfortable. The kitchenettes were adequate for our needs. The...

We have stayed at the Ashford Manor before but changed the room this time. Beautiful as always with incredible attention to detail. The hosts are charm itself and really know the hospitality business. You could not be made to feel more welcome. Breakfast is to die for! The grounds are magnificent and would be perfect for a wedding - which...

Ashford Manor really is a little paradise home away from home. The owners and proprietors, Dave and Mario, go way over and above what you would expect, down to the smallest detail. My husband and I have been coming here for about twenty years and it never gets old, just better and better. We have a favorite room, but ALL...

The gracious hospitality, decor of the home and the enchanting gardens simply cannot be adequately described. We love the owners and the home. Our room was spacious with large windows and abundant amenities. Our mission for this trip was family research. The owner kindly assisted us with contacts. The breakfast was exquisite and lovely to behold. You can walk to...

Our second visit to Ashford Manor and it was just as delightful as the last time we were there. This time we were in the Cottage Hideaway which one of 3 rooms that are dog friendly. It's tucked in the back of the cottage next to the main house and is perfect if you have a dog with easy access...

This was my first time staying at a B&B and I am forever changed. I absolutely loved Ashford Manor! The website gives a true depiction of what you'll find and is very thorough. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The house and grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the English Room and it had everything you could want or...

This was an excellent base for us to relax while exploring and shopping. The owners are very nice and welcoming. Our rooms were well prepared. The breakfast is quite good. The grounds are beautiful. After breakfast, i recommend taking some coffee out on the porch and relaxing. or doing the same with a drink during the late afternoon.

We stayed in the English Room. It was clean and comfortable, and we had a private bath. ( I think all the rooms do, which is a little unusual for a b and b). My main concern about sleeping away from home is the state of the mattress-I have back problems and a soft, lumpy mattress will cause all day...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We like to think of ourselves as the best kept secret in Georgia. The five acre Ashford Estate, overlooking Watkinsville's venerable Main Street, had been in the same family for over 100 years. Completely surrounded and secluded by a border of magnolias, red buds and pines, the 1893 Victorian manor house, cottage, gazebo and four acres of landscaped gardens all terrace down to a pool and open woods and creek beyond. We are walking distance to antique shops and art galleries of local fine and folk art talent. Ashford Manor and our new facility Ashford On Main are available for weddings, reunions, business meetings, retreats, bridal showers and more! ... more   less
