Good base for exploring the dales. We took a break at short notice booking this B&B on the basis of TripAdvisor comments, and we support all the excellent reviews you will read here.  Jane was friendly and helpful when we phoned, and managed to accommodate a friend who subsequently also wanted a room. On arrival we were served refreshments. The...

We booked almost all the rooms for our extended family for our daughters wedding nearby & it simply couldn't have been more perfect! The owner was fabulous, she couldn't do enough to help us & make us more welcome. Including taking 4 small children & their parents on a hands on visit to see all the young lambs. The rooms...

An amazing place of peace and tranquillity. We were away for the weekend 8 - 9/4/17 and were very lucky weather wise, but this place for me oozes peace. Jane was a wonderful hostess, her pot of tea upon arrival was most welcome after 2.5 hours on the motorbike. The room was lovely, very comfortable and to hear birds, including...

We stayed here en route from Scotland to Norfolk. This is a really well run B&B with most of the rooms in nicely converted outbuildings, so private and no curfew. The owner, Jane was so welcoming -- happy to chat with us over tea and fruit-bread on arrival. I'd describe the room as "farmhouse traditional" -- it had everything we...

Enjoyed a short break at the Whashton Springs Farmhouse B&B. Set about 3 miles north of Richmond this delightful B&B is on a working farm with 1200 sheep and beef cattle. Our room was clean and tidy with all usual amenities. It was for us a little on the small side, but larger rooms were available. Excellent breakfasts. Our host...

Very beautiful B&B and grounds good location location. The room was excellent and had a great nights sleep. The owner was extremely hospitable and helpful. Used as part of (Coast to Coast walk + extended stay in Richmond) so we were very grateful for the hot bath and washing and drying facilities. We were served a truly superb breakfast. I...

A lovely place to stay, which is very popular with regular visitors. I did stay during an early September heatwave, never anticipating temperatures could reach 28-30 degrees in North Yorkshire! My only comment would be that different bedding would have been cooler & more comfortable, but I suppose it wouldn't be needed very often in Yorkshire. The mattress had a...

Stayed there for 2 nights in August in an upstairs room with en-suite. Room and en suite had all amenities and was clean. The farmhouse is in a beautiful setting and close to Richmond and surrounding attractions. The room was very quiet ensuring a great night’s sleep. An English breakfast served in the dining room set up the day. Hosts...

I used to live in Richmond and regularly return to visit friends. After encountering a couple of less-than-satisfactory B+Bs in Darlington, I decided to stay at the Whashton Springs Farmhouse just outside of Richmond. I am so pleased I did! The farmhouse is in a idyllic setting, surrounded by nature and land. Jane was so welcoming and warm, like an...

This is a beautiful B&B. Set on a working farm, you know your breakfast is as fresh as it is possible to be! And the rooms are so peaceful; well appointed and very comfortable. I'm looking for an excuse to return.
