I apologize for the lengthy review but there is so much to talk about! This was our first time at the Cloister in Sea Island. This resort has an old world feeling, the main building at the Cloister is elegant and evokes a European flair of refined elegance. We stayed at the Beach Residences, our room was elegantly furnished and...

Stayed at The Cloisters for two nights. It's a beautiful hotel, lovely facilities, comfortable beds, great food. Played The Retreat golf course as a part of the gathering. Course was in reasonable shape, but the pro shop and Davis Love Grill staff were unhelpful at best. Locker room toilets were overflowing and unclean. The fore caddy was mediocre. At $180...

We decided on last minute trip to Sea Island, it was a good decision. We stayed at the beach club. We had a one bedroom deluxe, it was huge. We had a pullout sofa for kids( little lumpy) but our bed was perfect. Staying at beach club was perfect because we are right at the pool and beach. We had...

The Cloister is difficult to get to; for most people, the journey involves a plane and an hour and a half drive – so it is a chosen destination, not a place one happens upon. So why would anyone choose to go there – instead of similar venues, with grand hotels, beach and pool, that are so much more easily...

We came here in December of 2015 and it is the most beautiful hotel I've been to. I was at an awe when my hubby took me here. The view, the running trail, friendliness of the staff, our really nice room, and all the amenities they offer is just superb! This is a hotel I would love to go back...

There is not a comparable outside of Asia. Everything is perfection. The rooms, service, vista are all exceptional. The price is steep, but they deliver. I cannot recommend it more highly. It's great for couples and families alike.

We stayed here as a family for four nights--king suite in the main building. From the valets to the wait staff, everyone was extremely courteous and friendly. The facilities are gorgeous. I especially enjoyed the spa area and gym. We had lovely weather. Food in the elegant Georgian Room was tasty; but my family loved Tavola. The main building is...

We just spent 4 nights at The Cloister (technically we stayed at the Beach Club) and it was a great experience. The customer service and friendliness of the staff is second to none. From the moment you are greeted when you arrive to the moment you leave the staff does everything possible to personalize your experience and make you feel...

Sea Island is about as American as it gets; it is huge, gaudy, shamelessly commercial, and really quite pleasant if you can afford it. I find the place captivating, it is faux mission style on a grand scale, but done exceptionally well. It was rescued from financial ruin in 2009 and has come back stronger than ever, and continues to...

There is a reason this property is 5 Stars. Staff are friendly and extremely professional. The buildings and property landscaping are stunning. Our room was truly beautiful and spacious. The restaurants are excellent. Excursions are very nice.
