I've heard about little St Simmons from a magazine back in the 90's. I booked it and went there by myself, I had a wonderful time, and so much food and so many things to do Ioved it so much that when I got married I went back with my husband. It was not the same place, the people were...

We appreciate all constructive feedback from past guests. Unfortunately, we do not have any record of these instances. Our management team is readily available and in constant contact with our guests daily to help insure we are meeting their expectations. Also, we send all guests a survey immediately following their stay to solicit their feedback. Therefore, it is very surprising...

My husband and I stayed here last week. What a great experience - wonderful people - staff and fellow visitors - wonderful food - fresh and local from the lodge's garden. Accommodations are lovely - not fancy but definitely a lodge feeling. The education and trips around the island were led by caring and knowledgable staff. It is a good...

When my husband and I were waiting for the ferry to take us to the island, the guests at the end of their stay all looked blissed out. I can now see why. Here are some of the highlights: 1. We had a blast. Birding, boat rides, biking, the beach, fishing...we couldn't even find time to do everything. 2. The...

Thank you so much for staying with us. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the Naturalist guided activities, our staff and the meals. Many of our guests, like you, are initially apprehensive about the family style dining being that isn't typical but often find it enjoyable and meet new friends. I do want to apologize for the dead...

The lodge is a lodge yes, but much more. Great rooms with large common area and screened porch and deck over looking the river, creek and salt marsh, plus sumptuous meals, happy hour and drinks of all sorts available at will.... add to this experienced naturalists to enhance your whims. What more could you ask for? Areas upon acres of...

The reason to stay at LSSI is for its pristine rugged beauty, privacy, and knowledgeable naturalists. The food, libations and accommodations are adequate, but, nothing special. The main building is fabulously rustic. The staff is super gracious and accommodating. True, the wine and beer are included in the cost, but, trust me, bring your own. My 10 year olds tell...

This was our fifth visit to Little St. Simons Island, but the first since the Paulsen family took over 100% ownership from the Berolzheimers, who had owned LSSI for over 100 years. We were always fans of the rustic, laid-back ethos of the place. We hoped it would not change with the new owners. It hasn't. Here's a warning: Although...

This was my second time to visit this magical place. I can't say enough good things about the place, the food, or the experience. Perfect for any nature lover. This trip was a birding excursion and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is calming and the other guests have been masters of conversational excellence. The naturalists are knowledgeable and helpful.
