Stayed at this location over the last weekend of January for five nights in order to visit the area and also Cumberland Island for the first time. Stayed in one of the one King bedroom suites with the kitchenette on the 2nd floor.

The room was a bit dated on furniture and carpet, and with no housekeeping being done, the carpet got quite messy over the course of the 5-night stay, especially with sand from the beach. However, there was plenty of space and having two HVAC units helped keep the room from getting too warm/cool. The balcony facing the ocean was very nice to utilize, except for the pool heater noise which got a big annoying. The fridge in the kitchenette was a bit small, but at least the freezer section was larger than you normally get on these mini-units, which was a nice advantage when cooking your own meals. The bed was fairly comfortable, although a bit soft for me as I like a very firm mattress. Give the room a bit of an update with replacing the carpet with laminate flooring and some updated furniture, and you'd have a really nice suite here.

Due to Covid, there was not hot breakfast offered, but they did offer "grab and go" items at least including milk, juices, yogurt, etc., and the breakfast room was very nicely set up.

I didn't catch her name, but the lady at the front desk on the night of our arrival was super-nice and very helpful and courteous. When asked about adding an extra night to the reservation at the same price, she took the time to contact the manager and get that approved, which allowed for an extra day's stay in the area.

Also, had some plumbing issues during the stay (of my own doing I'll add, nothing to do with the overall system in the hotel), and the maintenance man was very prompt to arrive and fix the issues within the hour.

My only real complaint came when trying to use luggage carts to get belongs in and out of the room on the 2nd floor. It was like being a mouse in a maze trying to work through rooms and corridors, both inside and outside the building, just to get stuff loaded and unloaded, including doors with locks and having to try to hold doors open while maneuvering a large cart loaded down. Finally wound up just lugging things up and down the stairs, including a bicycle.

Didn't use the pool, hot tub, fire pit, nor other recreational areas on the property, but could tell they would be very nice for those who want such amenities.

Considering the limited lodging options on the island and needing a somewhat budget location to stay, overall this Days Inn was a nice choice.

Thank you for taking the time to write a great and thorough review! We sincerely apologize about the indoor path to suite side, anyone at the front desk would be happy to assist you as we know the path to the second floor suite side can be confusing. Our staff has been notified of the pool heater noise and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay! We look forward to seeing you again in the future!

Our family stayed at this Days Inn for the second part of a summer vacation. We had reserved a second floor ocean view room months prior and were excited when we finally arrived. Check in went quickly and we were assigned to room 280. Bringing our bags up the stairs, we were unpleasantly surprised. This room 280 is at the right side of the hotel without an ocean view but a dune view far from the pool. It is under a shady eave resembling a storage room where paying guests should not have to be. Heading back to the lobby to get another room, we were told there were no other similar rooms available. Front desk clerk Joy stated this is the room I had reserved. I disagreed, informing her I’d reserved a second floor ocean view room directly through the Wyndham site. She said all that was available was a two room suite for an additional $50 per day. After I stated more displeasure and a “call” to the manager, we reluctantly agreed to the suite for an additional $25 per day. Checking into room 129, we were amazed at how large and clean it was with a pool view and the beach in the distance. It stretched from the front to the back of the hotel and had two beds, a pull out sofa bed, a microwave, and a mini refrigerator. We had fun in the two pools and the hot tub was warm. It was nice being just a short walk from the beach. Since its low country here, any significant rain collected in large pools of water by the beach entrance. It became inconvenient and a little slippery to walk through inches of water going to the beach. In the morning in an upper room above the lobby continental breakfast is available. There was a good variety of muffins, danishes, cereals, and fruits until a food supplier shortage depleted the supply after a few days. Hotel staff worker Cynthia works hard keeping this area clean and stocked as well as socializing with hotel guests. During our stay, there was one full day of stormy weather. Since we were looking for more sun, we decided to stay an additional day. Checking with Joy at the from desk, a different suite was available for the same rate as the room we were in. We decided we didn’t want to spend much more that what we already did. Going back to the front desk, Angela helped us reserve a smaller parking lot room for a reduced rate for one night. Room 156 was a decent room away from the pools. I was a bit surprised we were not offered the suite we were in for a reduced rate for the inconveniences especially since no one was in room 129. The hotel is in a perfect, ideal location on a quiet road near the beach behind the dunes. We enjoyed the Days Inn and Suites as a comfortable place with great amenities to explore the sights of the island.

Wonderful property one of the older ones on the island, great staff very CLEAN, management visible and talks with all guests. The hotel has two great pools and well maintained grounds - breakfast is upstairs in a great room overlooking the ocean. The room for breakfast if made into an upscale coffee cafe type would be a home run, even for a happy hour would be a hit. All in all the best bang for the buck on the island

My wife and I stayed July 30 thru August 2. We have been visiting Jekyll Island for the past 20 plus years and Days Inn Jekyll is our " go to " hotel. The rooms have been remodeled over the past 3-4 years and are more comfortable and appealing. Rooms are clean when you arrive, but are not cleaned daily due to the virus guidelines. You can get clean towels at the front desk. The front desk staff.... Joy, Corrie, and Rose are fantastic....friendly, courteous, and helpful. The breakfast area is open daily but with a limited selection...coffee, juice, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, milk, Danish pastry. The breakfast staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds staff are constantly busy keeping the outside clean and neat. The pool is open. The beach is easily accessed by a short boardwalk, and is not crowded. The general manager, Shirley Rayhon , and her entire staff are doing a fantastic job of maintaining the property in a clean and safe condition. I give this facility a 4.5 out of 5 due to virus restrictions, otherwise it would get a 5.

Very friendly, welcoming staff. I'm so happy that I chose this place due to its location right on the beach and somewhat private location away from the crowds (thanks to a review I read about this). We stayed in the 2Queen suite which stretches from the parking lot back to the balcony which faces the ocean. The second floor will give you a great view. The kitchenette has a small fridge, microwave, sink and 2-burner electric stove. It has plates, cups, utensils, colander, cutting board, pots and pans. There's also a coffee maker and toaster. This was a must so we could minimize getting take-out/social distancing. There's a market/grocery store in town for your grocery needs. The bike rental place is located onsite which was great. And the walk to the center of town took only 5 mins. If you're wondering about the social distancing part - we didn't have our room serviced during our stay however there's a system of leaving your trashcan and dirty towels out and then by the afternoon you will have a bag full of towels hanging on your door along with an empty trashcan. Highly recommend.

We've stayed here several times, always in a suite with a private balcony and a fantastic ocean view. The Days Inn feels very private, but is close to shops and restaurants. The staff has been invariably helpful and friendly, no matter how busy they are. Corporate, however, doesn't seem to be doing its job in maintaining this property. Despite the much-increased room rate, we encountered chipped paint, broken locks, rusty shower heads, wobbly towel racks, and bathroom vents that didn't work. The place needs some focused maintenance, upgrading, and updating. A brand-new Marriott just opened next door. When I asked about the daily rate for an ocean-view suite for the same week we spent at the Days Inn, it was only $60 more. Next time, we'll stay there.

We stay at this Day's Inn several times a year. We are always very pleased with the staff, especially Rose at the front desk. The location is perfect (within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and the convention center) and everyone, from the front desk to the breakfast staff, and the maintence people, is very friendly and helpful. .The property is well maintained and the view of the ocean, particularly from the upstairs suites, is beautiful.

My only thing was that at check in I was told that housekeeping would come in to the room when we weren’t there. But they never came. So we had to go to the front desk for coffee and cups. Overall it was adequate. We will go back next year and stay there. We will take our own bikes.

This is an awesome property...walk right to the beach, nice beach. A heated pool and unheated pool, jacuzzi and kids pool - all cleaned daily early morn. Limited items for breakfast. This is an older hotel and needs some updating but for the value and the location is awesome. The upstairs view of the ocean on the 2nd floor is the best option. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My husband and I would stay again.

I very much enjoyed my trip to Jekyll Island and the Days Inn provided affordable accommodation in an excellent location. If you like to open your curtains and see the sea then be able to walk a short distance pass the pools, across the dunes and then be on a beautiful, sandy beach, this is for you!

I thought the staff at reception were excellent, quickly dealing with a queue. My travelling companion was unable to join me and I was very impressed to get a full refund from them for her.

The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. There were a few marks, e.g. in the sink that I think would be attributed to sea air.

The beach is lovely. The hotel is very close to the village centre. I was very satisfied with my choice.

Breakfast is 6-10 am. The pools opened at 9:00am and the heated pool and hot tub were still open at 10:00 pm when we were there. I do not know about the bike rentals but the rental is next door, which is very convenient.

Greetings from Days Inn and Suites located on Jekyll Island! I am so sorry for the delayed response. Ocean side means it's located on the ground floor. With the dunes and pool you really can't view the ocean. Ocean view is located on the 2nd floor with the view. We're about 50 yards to the beach and we have our own boardwalk. Thank you.
