We recently stayed for 3 nights at this charming Bed and Breakfast, with the owners and hosts, Anne and Alan. Our previous visits were always enjoyable and we looked forward to our return visits. Anne is a charming and genuine host, who serves the most hearty and delicious cooked breakfasts. We chose the blue suite which was meticulously clean with... More

The B&B is beautifully presented with old world charm. Ultra clean and great bed. Lovely peaceful respite from the bustle of Nelson Bay tourism. The only aspect we didn't enjoy was the tiny, tiny bathroom. It was like being in Paris. Still very clean. Genuine hosts.

This was our second stay with Alan and Anne and we werent dissapointed. We stayed three nights and made the most of the private setting and pool. The location is also excelent for outdoor activities and we went snorkleing, cycling and walking over the three days at Port Stephens, Anna Bay and surrounds. Alan and Anne are fantastic hosts and... Anne and Alan were wonderful hosts. The house and rooms beautifully appointed and the area is so quiet. Perfect for a break from the hustle and bustle of Nelson's bay and areas. Met some lovely folk staying in other rooms and we all chatted and enjoyed the complimentary port and sherry while sharing stories.

We booked at this B and B for 2 nights orginally, but stayed at extra night as we had enjoyed it so much. The room was perfect, lovely fresh white cotton sheets on the bed, bath-robes in the wardrobe, and everything you need to make your stay very comforable. Anne was brilliant, she told us all the places to visit... More

My wife and me only spent one night here unfortunately. Anne was the perfect hostess, she looked after us so well. The room was beautiful, the attention to detail in the rooms is fantastic, robes, iron and extra pillows in the wardrobe, everything else that you can want in a 4 star hotel room. The rest of the B&B is... More

My wife and I spent a wonderful 4 nights at Larkwood. Anne's breakfasts are to die for and her knowledge of the area unsurpassed. We only had the 4 days to see Port Stephens and Anne very ably guided us towards the key things to see and do in the region. Very comfortable accommodation in a quiet location where the... More

We were keen to explore both Nelson Bay and the Hunter Valley and found Larkwood was well reviewed and in proximity to both locations. Ann was a very lovely host and made us feel very much at home in their neat, clean and quaint home. The room was immaculate and the breakfast was lovely. The location wasn't ideal for us... More

I've had few sleeps better than this. Ann and Alan run a very relaxed, very cosy B&B that borders bushland. They gave us afternoon tea (great jam for the scones), recommended restaurants and a shore walk, and made a delish breakfast. Rooms are quaint, a bit antique-y if that doesn't bother you. There's not a lot of separation between you... More
