So glad we stopped here for lunch on way from Atlanta to Bryson City, NC. The views from the dining room were worth it ! Spectacular. Food served family style . Proteins not very good but we did like the veggies/appreciated the history of the Dillard House too. Mostly the views and as good place to stop enroute.

Not at all the quality of food it used to be!! Staff is great! We ordered Prime Rib which didn't look like any we had anywhere ever before and it tasted even worse. It was tiny, tough and was not edible! We asked the waitress to send it back and let us have the bbq ribs. The taste was there...

After being in the hospitality industry for 27 years. I have realize that everybody has their opinion with their own wants, their own needs and most likely their likes and dislikes. I have come to stay in Oaklawn and one particular room for the last two weeks. I've eaten here each day and enjoyed it. All the staff are very...

Always a must stop over when in the area . Best food around! The gift shop is great. We have even stayed in one of their cottages, which was awesome and at a great price. They have a petting zoo and horses you can ride. They also have a great Fourth of July celebration with live music and BBQ out on...

My wife and I returned to the Dillard house for Valentine's day weekend and our anniversary. The stay and the staff were awesome..however the well advertised prime rib was a joke ! First off it was the size of a piece of tenderloin and we only got 2 pieces. All the pictures showed a beautiful cut of meat. The food...

We came to the Dillard House and rented a cottage and had dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day and our Anniversary. The food is very expensive at about $27 plus drinks per person. The food is served family style and was mediocre at best. The night's special was prime rib and what we received neither resembled nor tasted like prime rib....

Spent two nights this past weekend at chalet 4. Quaint, rustic cabin. Basic amenities, no wifi. Loft with two beds had very steep ladder like stairs. Ok for small family. Beautiful view, nice deck with charcoal grill. No tennis court.

The pictures on the website are misleading. The "fireplace suite" we stayed in (room 500) actually had an electric fireplace - not wood burning as advertised. Also the bathroom pictures on the website showed very nice tiled walk in showers. Our actual room had a 20+ year old fiberglass tub/shower combination with mold in the drain. The only good part...

Been coming to the Dillard House for years. Once or twice a year. Usually stay in Valley View units or Highland units. We love it here. The food is great, but yes, there are times the food may not be quite as good as it normally is, but, that is true anywhere . They have a fabulous seafood buffet every...
