We stayed in a loft room on the 4th floor. It was spacious and comfortable. The room was newly remodeled and clean. The kids loved the loft, but it was a very tall ladder up to the loft. Not a problem for our boys. They thought it was a treehouse. The staff was friendly and helpful. We all loved the...

We stayed two nights at the Amicalola Falls Lodge and were very satisfied with the accommodations. This hotel is newly renovated and appears very clean, which is definitely a major plus to us when seeking out hotels. We arrived on Friday afternoon after 8 long hours of travel from Florida and were pleasantly greeted by the front clerk. We were...

This review is for the hotel only. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. We are in love with the falls and decided to spend the night in the lodge. The staff is pleasant and it was easy to make a reservation and check-in. The room was neat and clean. The view from our room was amazing. The lodge...

I am so happy I found this lodge! The service we were given from check-in to the wait staff at the restaurant to housekeeping to check out was exceptional. The lodge is beautiful and has fantastic views of the mountains which you can gaze at while sitting on one of the many chairs on the outside deck. Our room was...

This lodge is a great escape, yet only an hour from Atlanta. The view of the ranges of mountains, especially from the fourth floor rooms, is spectacular and you can't help but sigh and begin to relax. At night, the stars are glorious. The lodge has been remodelled with the past year. Rooms are more contemporary, classy, yet cozy. I...

I had initially planned to camp in one of the campsites but when I walked into the Lodge to register and I saw the view I asked to upgrade to a lodge room. It was perfect!! I got a room with an amazing view and it almost had all of the bells and whistles. A fridge and microwave would've garnered...

When planning our trip, I had the hardest time finding info about cabins, there were no pictures, and less reviews. So here you go! We stayed in cabin #1 at the bottom of the falls. There is a creek behind these cabins. I am pretty sure these are one bedroom one bath. Ours is. The outside of these cabins are...

Came of the trail by Springer mountain a day early, so we were happy to hear there were both lodge rooms and cabins available for the night at 5:00 pm! Since we weren't quite ready to dive back into the civilized world, we chose cabin #1 - a perfect choice- no one else around, a shower, coffee maker and a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
High in the North Georgia Mountains is Amicalola Falls State Park home of Amicalola Falls Lodge. Named after the Cherokee word for “tumbling waters” Amicalola Falls is one of the most popular state parks in Georgia. The park’s namesake is the 729-foot falls: the highest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River. The park is also the start of the 8-mile approach trail to Springer Mountain, the southern end of the 2,150-mile Appalachian Trail. The Lodge was built in 1990 by the State of Georgia, with 56 guestrooms in the main lodge and 14 cabins along with a gift shop, meeting space and a mountain view restaurant. The lodge rooms vary from standard hotel rooms with 2 double beds, loft suites that can sleep 6, to king bed suites with private balconies. The Lodge also is home to The Maple Restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. The Lodge rests on 829 acres with on-site activities that include stream or pond fishing, as well as more than twelve miles of hiking trails, several centering on viewing the spectacular 729-foot waterfall. Amicalola Falls Lodge features more than 4,000 square feet of meeting space that can host groups and social events consisting of up to 150 people in traditional meeting spaces as well as a unique outdoor veranda setting. The Lodge’s spectacular view, peaceful setting, and exceptional service make it a destination not to be missed while in the North Georgia Mountains. ... more   less
