We were in town during the hurricane weekend having relocated from Myrtle Beach. Though the room was non-smoking, it smelled "old". Sheets didn't fit the bed and the blanket had burn holes. The coffee maker didn't work. The continental breakfast consisted of 2 thermos of caffeine coffee. No decaf, no tea. Half-dozen, dry, mini-pastry rolls and four chocolate muffins. Four... More

We were in Dahlonega for a wedding, this place was the suggested lodging. For $100 a night I assumed it would be decent. Boy was I wrong. Stained sheets and carpet, a hole in the wall, and a horrible smell. I went to Walmart to buy lysol and clorox wipes so that I could make it through the first night.... More

We were in town for a wedding and this place was about $45-50 cheaper than Days Inn or Holiday Inn Express, but it shows. Even for $85-95 night, it was not worth the price. The beds were small and uncomfortable for 2 in a bed. Plus, I'm 6' 4" and the bed was too short for me. Breakfast was barely... More

We stayed here because to drove to Dahlonega to see a concert in a small venue and didn't want to drive home (Atlanta) after drinking. Plus- It was clean. Everything else gets a minus. We joked that it was probably once a Motel 8 but didn't live up to their low standards. Oh and the free breakfast is hysterical: a... More

The hotel does not advertise itself for being more than it is. It's a great, basic hotel that allows dogs - important when your pet's health requires round-the-clock attention. Owners are friendly and helpful and historic downtown with lots to do is only half a mile away. The rates are fair for a good location, clean room, friendly service, and... More

There were no frills. The breakfast bar was meager. The wifi was slow but it did work. The owner and employees were friendly. The nights were quiet. The motel is located on a hill up from a busy intersection. There are plenty of restaurants and a convenient store nearby but not really in walking distance. Downtown is just a short... More

This motel bills itself accurately. It's just a motel. It is a basic place to rest your head. That was all we were looking for, because we were here to enjoy the area and not necessarily the hotel. It is clean, although the room smelled musty when we checked in, this improved once we turned on the air conditioner unit.... More

We paid over 100 dollars at this place. It was a last resort as everywhere else was booked up for Memorial weekend. It was just grotty. Even the door to the room needed a good wipe down. The bedspread was definitely not clean, and the whole place was just depressing. The worst of it all was the smell - an... More

An unassuming hotel that you might not see if you don't know it's there. It's not the prettiest place and not the most updated but I really can't complain. It was clean, there was free wifi, and it was pet-friendly (with a reasonable pet rate). We refused maid-service because of the dog. When I went to ask for some replenishments,... More

Formerly a Super8 and soon to be again we were told, we stayed for two nights in a quiet and basic comfortable room.Breakfast was what we expected, cereals and toast and coffee. We are always surprised by how little effort it would take to make these places so much better. So what could be better? 1 Staff saying Good Morning,... More
