We were staying at the caravan park behind the inn ,we had a lovely meal in lovely homely surroundings the inn was only five minutes walk from caravan park which meant we could both have a drink not having to drive home

We stopped in for lunch today after noticing that the hotel had reopened. We were attended to by The proprietor and our drinks were brought quickly. the food was also quite quick but the main thing was it was a great quality meal at 2 courses for £7.90. We will definitely go again and looking forward to a carvery on... More

We telephoned to book an evening meal as we were en route to a family function in Cults. On arrival we had a pre dinner drink in the lounge bar and got engrossed in the rugby. The friendly barmaid(possibly proprietrix)said that there would be no problem switching the meal to the lounge bar and our rugby viewing was saved. There... More

We were delighted when we learned that the Old Mill Inn in Maryculter on Deeside, which is in our neck of the woods, had reopened after being closed for almost a year. It was a very popular place previously with a super homely atmosphere, great friendly service and really good food at favourable prices. It was a big disappointment to... More

Went to the Old Mill Inn. Started by the two members of staff sitting us next to the two only other customers in an otherwise empty restaurant. My wife and I asked for the carvery. We stood unserved in a deserted reception area for approx five minutes. The plates we were given were cold and small. The food was overcooked... More

Stayed in the Caravan site nearby but ate in The Old Mill Inn for an evening meal. Food was great as was the attention we received. Had a two-course meal - very reasonably priced. Also had breakfast before travelling home. Hadn't booked but nothing was too much bother for the staff. Everything was piping hot. Will definitely visit again if... More

I attended here with a work colleague for a spot of dinner, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the choice / specials were great. Not often you can say this, but actually the food was pretty amazing. The price was fair too! If you are after well prepared home made Scottish food and a bit... More

I stayed at the Old Mill Inn at Maryculter for two nights with my 10-year-old grandson in October 2013. We were on a trip to Aberdeen for the purpose of visiting a theatre there. The exterior of the hotel is quite appealing, but the room we were allocated was a big disappointment in terms of facilities. It was a triple... More
