We visited Kingwood Resort March 4-7 2017. I will qualify this review by admitting we visited in the off season, during a time they were renovating the restaurant and club house. We found this resort to be clean and the staff to be friendly but the "resort" label to be a stretch. This resort is stuck in the 80's and...

Our room was clean although the sliding glass door had a film on. ( which made it harder to get a good view on a cool day). We did not get the deluxe breakfast..despite being there on the weekend. The reason given that weekend seemed legit. The whirlpool in the spa was a nice place to go after a hike...

The room was comfortable and spacious. It had a large balcony and a wonderful view. The pool was large and the water was perfect. They also have saunas and whirlpools you can use. The dining room was amazing with large windows overlooking beautiful surroundings. The Breakfast buffet was amazing and all the staff were wonderful!!!!!

My girlfriend and I vacationed in Clayton last month and stayed one night at the Kingwood Country Club and Resort. Upon arrival we met Melinda and Amanda in the office, two very friendly women who were more than willing to help us plan out our evening. Amanda gave us a run down, complete with a map, of what we could...

Ac and heating unit dated with no thermostatic controls....would not recommend even to people I don't like.

Close to Atlanta (approx. 2 hours north), Kingwood Resort is a great, quick family getaway. We reserved two rooms: one with a king bed (2 adults) and one with 2 queen beds (3 kids). The rooms are spacious and have a deck. The rooms are a bit dated but had all the amenities we require: clean bathroom, comfortable bed, coffee...

We had purchased 2 two night vouchers on Travelzoo. From the moment we arrived we realized that this get away was going to b challenging. When other customers inquired what there was to do in the area, the front desk girl said "nothing". And then added hiking? We are on day three now and we can see that there is...

A beautiful mountain resort, but rooms a little aged. Great little town, great staff and great massages. Would have loved to played golf on a beautiful looking resort, but my husband no longer plays golf. Many great places in town to visit.

Only thing resort about this is the golf course. The "remodeled " rooms are dated. Nice furniture but chipping paint, loud fans, wobbly deck. Restaurant closed or else we would have something other than cereal for breakfast. They lost my reservation but luckily had a room available.

The property itself is nice and in a good spot in the mountains. Great location to downtown clayton, which has some great little local nostalgic spots, good food, and overall charm. But that's it. The rooms are old, not particularly nice at all. The balconies are old/crusty and don't feel that stable. The AC units are loud and emit a...
