It's a decent hotel for an overnight stay. It looks either recently renovated or pretty new. The room was clean and quiet. Very friendly and heplful staff. Breakfast was regular covid style. Convenient location.
Typically we stay at Hampton Suites in this area, but had such a good experience with the Fairfield Inn at Santee GA, we decided to try Fairfield Inn here in Brunswick. Even paid more for a larger room, $164. Well, this was nothing more than a motel type room. Clean and the staff were nice, but the room was poorly appointed; no closet, very small vanity area, poor lighting, not even an area in the shower to set soap and shampoo. No wonder there were no room pictures on their website. No real breakfast other than a grab and go yogurt. I couldn’t tell if the room was sanitized beforehand. I can tell you the Hampton Inn was better appointed, and less expensive. Won’t stay here again.
A nice stopover in a trip from NC to FL. Hotel is clean and staff friendly. A plus is being able to go to Jekyll Island for sightseeing and a meal. Staff wears masks and offers a grab and go breakfast during these COVID times.
Brunswick was about the halfway point for our trip to Miami. This hotel was very convenient and very nice. Very clean and in good repair.. Location was great. Near plenty of places to eat and stores (we needed a few supplies). Due to covid some things were limited. No breakfast and only 1 person allowed in the gym at a time.
It' gets a bit tricky driving Rt 1 south as you have to make a U-turn, then take immediately to the right and exit to stay on Rt 1. The hotel is a standard Fairfield, good value for money. Due to covid they have a grab-and-go breakfast which is quite mediocre, but it's understandable considering the circumstances. It's pretty close to the center and the university.
