Microwave, phone and heat didn’t work in room. Housekeeping are very nice and good at their jobs. The two people I have had to deal with at the front desk are rude. One of them has body odor that can be smelled from quite a distance. Didn’t have a choice about staying here. But I will next time. WiFi also hasn’t worked the whole week.
Originally being from Northern VA, and now living in SW FL, my standards are very high. Cleanliness is obviously key in any hotel that you stay in. Of course I had my reservations staying here. However, i was very pleasantly surprised at not only the cleanliness of the room, but the modern style at which the room was set up, as well as furniture. It honestly seems as if they recently went through a renovation as the carpet seems new, the headboard is very modern, as well as floor tile, lamps, and mirrors. I would not bat an eye to stay here again.
Breakfast was lackluster, room was adequate, overall was not bad for the price. Bed was comfortable but the bathroom was small. This was the first time i tried an econo lodge and I wouls stay again for an overnight stay.
We arrived at this hotel, while the clerk was on the phone and we waited patiently. She finally looked up briefly, and told us that there were no vacancies...unless we had a reservation. Yes, we had a reservation. This is not the best way to welcome a guest, by assuming that we didn't have a reservation!! We had requested a room on the top floor since it was quieter, and a room at the front of the hotel because we had noticed that there was truck parking at the back. She could not give us either request, and we had to settle for a room at the back, ground floor. The trucks were coming and going at all hours, within a few feet of our window. The vibrations and noise were ridiculously loud, and afforded us VERY little sleep! The room was not overly clean, and smelled like cigarette smoke which is odd because this hotel is supposed to be 100% smoke free! The room also felt and smelled very damp. It was not our imagination as our socks were actually damp from the carpet! Our opinion continued to go down as I looked at the blankets and bedspread which were covered in cigarette burn holes! (see pics) Breakfast was not too bad, with ceral, eggs and biscuits, but there was nobody at the front desk. We ended up leaving the keys in the room with a note about the burn holes in the blankets and bedspread. We will never be back to this hotel!…
the bed slept good and the room was nice and clean. It was quite. The breakfast was just continental with small waffle maker. But for the price it was a good deal. I would stay here again if I came thru this area and needed hotel
