This hotel is not what we have come to expect in a Comfort Suites. The common areas and hallways are nice, but the rooms needed work. We first noticed that both beds were tight against the wall on one side and there was no way to move them so that a person could get in/out of bed on that side without crawling in from the foot. Then the lamp in the suite area was broken, had to be plugged/unplugged to turn it on & off. The door fame in the bathroom was missing quite a bit of paint, the bathroom faucets had the finish pitted making it look dirty. There was a wall thermostat for the HVAC but it did not work or was never hooked up to the unit. The pillows were lumpy and in bad shape. All these little things added together just did not meet our expectations as we've stayed in Comfort Suites many times in several different states and have come to expect better from the brand. To top it off, they were not serving breakfast. We've stayed in several Choice Hotels this past year which were still serving breakfast, eimither had an employee serving or had disposable gloves they required guests to wear while serving themselves. But to discontinue breakfast altogether is a disappointment to we the customers and I suppose a windfall profit for the hotel. …
We stayed 3 nights in this hotel while visiting the islands. Great location and not far from many places to see and go. Bed was super soft and comfy. Room was clean (did have a musty smell the entire time, but we just used our own air freshener). Hotel staff were always nice and friendly. With Covid still being an issue, no breakfast, pool or work our room open. They did have coffee every morning though. Lobby area, elevator and hallways were all very clean and tidy!
Property requires updating. Shower faucet dripped endlessly; bathroom fixtures loose; rugs appeared dirty. Would not recommend. Alarm clock time was off by sixty minutes causing chaos in morning. Have stayed at other Choice properties which were of much better quality and value
Upon arrival counter clerk who was very friendly but was not wearing a face mask. I had to prepay for discounted rate only to have accommodations that were barely mediocre. Bed was very uncomfortable, floor was dingy; sofa was very worn. Cleaning crew were very friendly but not wearing face mask at ANY time. We didn’t want them to clean our room out of concern for safety precautions due to COVID. I didn’t witness any EXTRA cleaning precautions due to COVID. NO breakfast accommodations. They even wanted to charge me for a bottle of water. Occupancy was very low in comparison to the other neighboring hotels which was okay but questionable. Overall dissatisfied with entire 4 days.
