We stayed at Babus after a friend's recommendation. It is a really cool idea, you stay with an actual family and eat traditional food and see how they live. They also have good trekking options and we did their unseen Nepal 5 day trek. They have big rooms and western toilets with hot showers, so probably not a typical family....

Babus home has become like my second home and during my 9 times in Nepal since 14 years, Babu and his family have become like family members to me. In this family I meet so much love and warmth, and I’m always fascinated to see the hospitality and friendliness they show all their guests. Through Babus family and relatives I...

The highlight of our one month trip to Nepal and Japan was staying with Babu and Belku's family. They are the warmest and caring people. The teenage children Aayush and Ruja were so kind to my daughter. We felt like we were at home, and the villagers of Kirtipur were so warm and open too, with everyone curious and wanting...

Babu’s Homestay is one of the best in Nepal, located in a peaceful environment at the foot of many green hills at the backdrop. Thought the location is great it’s the Babu’s family and the kind peoples in village which makes this experience unforgettable. Belku who is the Babu’s wife is a wonderful and warm hearted person and her food...

Babu, Belku and the family are lovely folks to stay with, and they make you feel at home! It's a cozy and tidy house, rooms come with neat window lookout to peaceful surroundings - paddies/fields, mountains, etc. Babu and Belku ensured I was comfortable throughout my stay, and had enough to eat for breakfast and dinner. Moreover, there were lots...

For most people on a budget getting cheap accommodation is a high priority - So staying in a low cost hotel in the run down tourist ghetto of Thamel is pretty much your only option. But lets face it, Kathmandu central is a horrible place to stay! Nepal is a country of such beauty and diversity that it seems a...

Babu and Belku are such a great couple. I feel like I experienced the real Nepal, with village life and Babu's expertise in my 11 day trip. I loved spending a day in the village with Belku, working in her garden meeting family and seeing the different homes. What an authentic experience. Friends for life!!

My wife and I stayed 9 nights at Babu's in two separate stays and we really felt like part of the family. We were there during festival time and participated in their family ceremonies, including being invited to Babu's parents house. It was great and a real experience. Needless to day, Belko (Babu's wife) cooked great meals and his extended...
