La Traversina is a well hidden pearl in Piemont. A very peaceful place, beautiful on the in- and outside. Rosanna and her family are the perfect hosts, always there for you with a friendly smile, and serving the most wonderful homemade food and good wines from the area. We fell in love with this unique place, and rest assured, we... More

We stayed here one night after our flight from Atlanta to Milan and sure could have stayed much longer. What a perfect place to recover from jet lag. Large rooms in the old house. The thick walls kept the rooms cool but a ceiling fan would have been nice just to stir the air. The gardens are wonderful and I... More

We have fond memories of our four day stay at La Traversina in May. The farm is a treat for the senses! The landscape was lush with beautiful flowers and the fragrance of roses filled the air. The rooms in the 300 year old farm house were romantically decorated with antiques and art. The traditional Italian dinners were delicious. Rosanna,... More

Except relax, stroll through the lush gardens (400 plus rosebushes!), eat great food, and be made to feel like part of the family. (Well, also maybe hit the outlet mall in Serravalle if shopping is your thing.) This was our second stay here; the first was as a stopover while driving with friends from Lucca back to Antibes in the... More

I took my parents and sister to LA Traversina earlier in May, we spent a couple of days there during our vacation in Europe. I have to admit, LA Traversina is like no other place I have ever been. Secluded in the mountains, this lush garden, that mountain breeze loaded with the most elegant scent of roses. La Traversina is... More

My wife and I stayed one night on our way to Tuscany from Milan. This was a last minute selection from TripAdvisor. This is a fairly isolated location that use to be a farm, plenty of private parking!, comfortable rustic Italian room (we did not have an apartment), good breakfast, absolutely superb hospitality. It is only 20 minutes to the... More

We searched online for quiet places to visit on our 2 week European trip to celebrate or 60th wedding anniversary. The three days we spent at La Traversina were perfect. The food is superb and the host family goes out of their way to make guests comfortable. The gardens, the pool and the whole environment is very relaxing. We'd go... More

In September, we might have missed the roses but not the hospitality of Rosanna and her family. After 2 days at Monza for the Gran Premio D'Italia, what more could we ask for than to relax there. We had dinner both nights in the friendly atmosphere created not only by the other guests but by our hosts as well. The... More

La Traversina is a very relaxing, quiet place. Rosanna and her family are very warm and obviously filled the place with their hearts. The house is filled with antiques, paintings, photos and other objects. You will cross several cats and an old dog.We loved the communal dinners where we met other interesting travellers. The food was simple but good, it... More

Roses, love and food.Food, love and roses. Rosanna, and bushels of roses of all kinds of varieties. In the middle of nowhere. When you leave the thruway between Torino, Italy, and Genoa, if you do not find an indication pinpointing to the small town of Stazzano, you are in for quite an expedition...But hang on...Keep trying...The path narrows, winds around among meadows... “We stayed in main home. Many out buildings have been renovated to apartments..Bed/bath and a kitchen dining area. The Pear Room apartment has a private patio overlooking the valley. If you stay a long time, you can shop locally for breakfast and lunch...but join everybody for dinner - worth it at twice the price”
