Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely bush campsite on the banks of the Stony Creek. Choice of campsites due to covid isolation rules and absence of interstate and overseas travellers.
Barrow load of wood for $20 that lasted 3 nights.
Great pizzas for sale, made on site, good range of pizzas, delicious and delivered to our site.
Interesting old relics decorate the campsite and what looked like a fabulous camp kitchen. Facilities not glamorous but clean.
On the eastern side a ‘war zone skirmish’ area; an event on one day while we stayed did not impact on our enjoyment (limited numbers due to covid restrictions)
Hosts helpful and friendly.

This so called caravan park is a great find, two kilometres off the main road and situated in a creek side bush setting. Even though we had a powered site, we hardly knew we were at a caravan park, such were the bush surrounds, the garden art, the rustic toilet and shower facilities (both very good, clean and well maintained). A must stay when next in this gorgeous SA region.

Excellent camping sites set amongst gum trees with every site having a fire pit. So tranquil and relaxing. The office sells a wheelbarrow full of hard wood for $30 to ensure you have a great fire. They also do great pizza's if you're short of meal ideas. The showers and toilets are well maintained. They have powered and unpowered sites.

Great spot to stop, we stayed just one night . Clean amenities, hot showers. Camp kitchen was great and well equipped. We’re able to leave our vans there and make a trip over to Alligator Gorge to do the walks there and then pick up our van in the afternoon .
Staff helpful when we had an issue with our towball,

This place is a great spot to stop if your looking for peace & quiet. The bush surroundings & abundant bird life makes relaxing easy. Big sites & each one has a fire pit, wood can be bought from the office if you didn’t bring your own. Touring around visiting a few other small towns & the history here is fascinating to read. One of the best butchers we have come across at Orroroo. The hosts are are great & they make a beautiful, tasty pizzas. Booked for week & we have been here 3 weeks now.

Absolutely love this place, one of our favourite spots to take the caravan in winter, Wayne and Kellie are brilliant owners always willing to do their best to give you your choice of camp site. Pizzas are the bomb made in-house and perfect. Large spots to park easy to get into. All spots have a fire pit and Wayne sells wood if you don’t have your own. Also puts on shows from time to time, we were there for the music last weekend and was very enjoyable. We will return again and again …

Beautiful bush setting & terrific hosts whose pizzas are the best. We had awesome weather & did some driving to other surrounding towns which all had great history. After touring around back to the park & lit up the fire pit & toasted marshmallows after dinner.

We spent three nights on an unpowered site and really appreciated the quiet, the bush setting, and the birds. Other campers were very quiet. The rustic facilities including a camp kitchen were all spotlessly clean and maintained. Only a short drive to the township of Wilmington and other places of interest in the area. I would recommend to others.

A nice out of the way campground just off the main road. Plenty of room for drive through sites. Decent facilities. A communal fire pit with a great atmosphere to it. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. We will be back on our return most likely if we come this way and will try the pizza!!
