Have been staying at The Beachcomber for quite a few years at different times of the year and found it to be conducive to reducing the pressures of life to simple things such as: which beach do we walk on today and which restaurant do we eat at tonight. Management has always been responsive to our needs which enhances the...

A delightful clean quiet space. No crowds, a stroll over dunes to a peaceful and clean beach! Friendly, clean and simple 1bedroom with everything that we needed. Short drive to downtown venice with a downtown that had a bit of everything! !!!

My sweetheart and I had a beautiful weekend in our efficiency unit at The Beachcomber. The room was not large, but it was clean and neat and just outside our door was a view of the ocean which was just steps away. We booked very late in high season and the wonderful Maureen found a way to accommodate us, even...

We have enjoyed our stays in the past. This year was different. We had RED tide 11 out of 14 days of our stay. Everyone would cough as soon as they stepped outside. You need to be sucking a cough drop all of the time you were out. Many of the residents came down with sinus infections and sore throats....

We are very sorry your stay was marred by the red tide. The Beachcomber cancellation policy, located on our website, states you may call and cancel, or reschedule your visit without any deposit forfeiture if red tide is indicated in our area. We hope you will reconsider your decision to not return.

Loved this place, right on the beach, nice pool. Relaxing quiet vacation. It was a mile walk to the pier and coffee every morning. Loved the private beach and the room had a beach shelter in the closet which was a bonus. Loved the peace and quiet.

Love this place. The Beachcomber is the location, the people, the location, the manager, and....oh, did I say location??? Just steps from the beach and the gulf, plus Venice is not at a loss for Good restaurants. Rooms are nice, if dated, but like I said....location. Been coming here for years and just love it.

The Beachcomber is a throwback to earlier times when you could have a great location on the gulf at a smaller motel-like resort. The units and property are well maintained including a heated pool right in front. The management and guests are friendly and make you feel at home during your stay. We'll definetly go back if there room for...

We go their once a year for 6 weeks, it is the most awesome place, don't tell anyone it is my little secret. It is right on the beach, a view of beach from every room, I actually discovered it on internet while looking for a place close to where my son and family live, been going every since.

Great location/ Friendly neighbors who have come back for many years/ Quiet and clean Close to many restaurants and shops Only one drawback: The water smells and tastes like sulphur. Impossible to drink.....maybe a filter system would help. We bought water.

The Beachcomber is an older but well maintained group of condos and suites, with regulars who revisit annually. I traveled alone and was welcomed by all who I met; and felt safe. I was made to feel like one of the gang which goes a long long way. If I go back to that area, I will most definitely re-book....

“We usually stay in Number "6.”

“Our room was fully furnished but very small for a 2 week stay. It was clean but the dish washer did not work well and we had to hand wash all the dishes after use. Staying the last 2 weeks in February is very expensive. You get charged 1/2 a months rent but you loose 3 days because Feb. only has 28 days. This make the nightly stay more expensive than any other time in the year.”
