We will come back. We loved The Sands. It is old, no doubt about it. But it has much charm. It was clean. If the carpet was replaced, it would get an excellent rating, instead of very good ;). The pool is great, the beach is great. Our room had 2 double beds as there was 4 of us one...

I love the set-up of the hotel!, pool in the middle, incredible beach right behind it. Had to be the most affordable spot on the beach. Love the 50's decor (built in 1947). Rooms very clean, comfy beds. Best spot. All you need is malt shop on location! Only stayed one night, wish it was more.

My wife's family have been coming to Treasure Island since she was a little girl and always stay at The Sands. I've now visited several times myself, the last couple of times with our own young daughter. Simply put, this place just has a great vibe about it that I love. Location is incredible, layout and look of the hotel...

I've stayed here since I was a little girl and now I bring my family here. Comfortable, clean, spacious, retro rooms, a heated salt water pool, shuffleboard, a grill, Bob at the front desk is friendly and helpful, great location and the most bang for your buck...truly a gem and I hope it is around down the road for my...

Stayed 2 nights for New Years eve. We had room 204. We thought room had kitchenette but only had microwave and toaster. Asked if there was another room available because we planned on making our new years day black eye peas and collard greens. There was another room available but couldn't trade the view for a stove. Luckily our friends...

Although while we were there it was not busy there is limited parking. The staff was friendly and the layout of the motel was nice. The best part of the motel is it's location. We stayed for two nights in one of the balcony ocean view rooms. Simply put the room was in bad need of an update! The balcony...

My 'Tribe' has been to the Sands a few dozen times over the past 30 years or so. It is a wonderful reminder of a time when the pace of life was a little slower...a little more personal...a little less pretentious and filled with 'fluff'. The Sands is as much 'luxury' as I personally can handle. All my kids (5...

All though much cheaper rates than most the saying you pay for what you get stands here. I loved the layout of the motel, management staff, free ice, but I just could not get over the dirty room, pool, bathroom, fridge. Our air conditioner could not keep up with the daily temperatures but at night no to bad. The shower...

Remember those trips in the old woody your family would take to the cabins on a lake in michigan? Well this is the Florida version. Reasonable prices, clean and very family oriented. Kitchenette. We have been having family reunions here for 10 years. Short trip to beach or use the pool. Bring the grill if you can and stock the...

This apartment/hotel was built in 1947. It still looks like 1947, and there was a definite moldy smell. Those things aside, it had fresh paint, and a certain charm. It reminded me of my Aunt's house when I was a kid. People were super friendly, and the guests used the outdoor spaces, instead of being holed up inside. We had...
