What a special place!! Found it on a search for a business stay near Tampa. Decided to take a chance and was blown away. Right on the beach with fantastic view of beach and sunsets. Rooms are spacious and have been upgraded to first class...More
Really like this place but again arrived with more construction going on by side the hotel. They are working on improving the nice walking way path that longs along the beach front. Backup alarms, digging up concerts, bang, bang, bang. Oh well, stay on the...More
This was our second time staying at this hotel. On both occasions we were there for a graduation weekend. We stayed for 4 nights and we had another wonderful experience. The staff is very professional and so friendly and helpful.

I have written several reviews on this hotel so I am attaching those below instead of repeating myself since this hotel is amazing and continues to sustain it's status as a complete and all-encompassing hotel. Whatever the reason you are spending time in this hotel...More
Awesome staff, amazing view from room 702 . Very clean. Great breakfast! I will certainly be back! Perfect location and very easy to get to. Highly recommend . Best place to watch the sunset. Make sure to ask for a sunset room :)

Well, I don't think you've made a big mistake. I've stayed at the property three or four times in the past two years...We've never had a problem with a broken elevator. There are two elevators that service the hotel...the one closest to the ocean services 9 floors....the one closer to the street I think only services four floors..The elevator is "slow" because of heavy use as well as being a bit old...but we had rooms on floors three and four the last two times I was there...and I often took the stairs down rather than wait on the elevator closer to the beach...I didn't find the wait for the one closer to the street to be problematic except during breakfast hour when there is a crush of folks going to breakfast late. We had a friend (guy) crash on the sofa before leaving for an early early morning fishing trip the next day....he did comment it was not the most comfortable bed he'd ever slept in, but more a comment in passing than really complaining....Depending on the number in your group and preferences for sleeping alone, I can say I think if there are four of you then you will be happier without someone having to sleep on a couch...(so get two, 2Br units) or, if there are six, get two 3-Br units...I found the rooms to be better than average "beach rooms" -- no question they take a hit, but ours were always clean, the furniture certainly acceptable and comfortable...Never a problem with a leak or "tired looking". But, it's a Residence Inn, not a Ritz Carlton. The pool is not huge, but a decent size and comfortable. The beach is gorgeous, and, you are right on the beach...so no crossing streets, etc or lugging chairs, towels, etc across a road. I'd say if you get there and you are not satisfied with a room, let the staff know...I found them to be extremely accommodating to the extent they could be...the caveats: while i am a loyal Marriott member, I call it like I see it when reviewing properties...I don't like surprises, I don't do dirty, and If I feel like I'm being gouged on the price, I'm not a happy patron. The fact I keep returning to this property says I find it clean, staff helpful, the value good and the minor annoyance of the hotel being usually full (another clue for you) and having to wait sometimes for an elevator not enough to make me look elsewhere....hope this helps....If you want a nice upscale meal one night, try Selene's on St. Pete Beach....and for really casual, a grouper sandwich or fried shrimp at Dockside Daves is a good choice. Uber is readily available so everyone can get really happy at any hour you want and no one has to be designated to drive. Hope this helps and hope the hotel meets your standards...
