This hotel is very old and not updated in the least. It was clean and the rooms were large. The view on the patio was amazing. It was very convenient to Key West where we were leaving early in the morning for a boat trip. On the downside, there was no coffee pot in the room and the free coffee...

There cannot be a better place with a better view on the Keys than this. It was superb from beginning to end and the Retro design only added to our pleasure. Tiki Bar wonderfully relaxing, furniture in rooms terrific. And soooooo peaceful because all the rooms face away from the highway. Wish we could have spent a week here rather...

We stayed at Sugarloaf Lodge for 5 night. We found it to be very clean and comfortable. The price was great for the time of year. (March 2015) The pool and grounds are very well keep and the renovated restaurant was do to open any day. We will for sure stay at Sugarloaf Lodge again.

This motel is so retro that it could actually be called trendy...but it's not. It's comfortable and relaxing. The price may seem a bit high but you are paying for the location (30 minutes to Key West) and the view. There's also a Tiki bar on site. The rooms are VERY clean and have some great hand-painted murals and local...

I stayed here over the weekend and it was 10 times greater than I expected. Great room, Great View, awesome staff and a very cool tiki bar. The whole vibe is just awesome! We had all kind of activities planned but spent most of our time chillin in the room with the doors open enjoying the view. The only thing this...

When me and my family were traveling down to Key West, a hotel was the least of our worries. Turned out to be the biggest one! It was nearly 10pm, a time where everything closes down in the Keys and we were desperate for a place. After visiting 4 different places we stopped at the Lodge to see if they...

The room takes you back to the 80's needless to say it was in perfect conditions . Friendly staff. The view gives you your own private ocean with a priceless sunset. It is close to Key West. Perfect place to relax and expend family time and at the same time a short drive take you to the fun and lively...

We stayed here and it was clean and decorated nicely. The guy at front desk was very down to earth. Very pleasant and helpful. The view was right on the water with beach chairs there to watch the sunset. But if u stayed on 2nd level like we did u have a balcony and 2 chairs and table. I seen...

If you were not staying in motels in the '50's and '60's, you might not appreciate this one. From the tourquoise vinyl headboards and chairs, to the light fixtures, to the classic two-story motel building style and old fashioned metal room keys, I had to chuckle. Having said that, it was spotlessly clean, quiet, lots of towels, comfy beds, view...

We stayed here for a couple of nights while we had work done on our property. I was very pleased with our stay. The property is very clean and the staff was first class. The room was clean and reminded me of the "good old days" in the Keys. The furniture is retro, but in mint condition and very comfortable...
