My husband and I live in Fort Myers and have frequently traveled to Sarasota for the day to hang out in Siesta Key or in St Armands Circle, get some beach time and have some local food before heading back home for the night. We never had the pleasure of staying overnight or for a weekend until this past wknd...

Owners of this place really go that extra mile for you. We got nothing but great service from them and felt really welcome here. Got good nights sleep and enjoyed breakfast at our rooms own kitchen. Location is really good and we would be happy to come back.

This vintage hotel was a real treat. My husband selected it for my birthday weekend in Sarasota. He did well! It's art deco meets industrial meets historic. The Innkeeper was so sweet to have a bouquet of fresh cut roses in our room when we arrived to the surprise of me and my husband! The room size was generous, with...

This was a spacious, spotless, well-equipped apartment, stylishly furnished, with extremely helpful staff and free on-site parking. The hotel is situated very close to downtown Sarasota, the YMCA gym, a cinema, and of course, the Gulf. Highly recommended for any type of travel.

I had a great stay. It's a great location for easy access (by walking or car) to a lot of great spots. Accomodations are not 'plastic' or pretentious as in other 'chain' hotels. This hotel has charm. The kitchen was useful, the laundry was useful. Ranola's smaller size is scaled for a more 'homey' experience. When coming back to this...

Interesting place, Hotel Ranola. The location is excellent - downtown Sarasota, near Whole Foods, tons of good restaurants, etc. The price is right, especially if you want to prepare your own meals. Our room was clean, though it did have a musty smell. The bathroom sported seriously peeling paint. But everything was neat and clean, though “screaming deferred maintenance” as...
