We were going to a Christmas party and planning on drinking so we wanted to spend the night close to St. Armands Circle. I picked the motel due to it's price and walking distance to our restaurant that evening.. We were about .8 miles from St. Armands Circle not to far but, far enough that my wife had to take...

I almost didn't write this review as I really don't want people to know how great this place is...but it's too good to miss out on. Firstly let me say, if you are a 5 star hotel only person, this is not the place for you. No fancy entrance, no elevators, no restaurant. I gave it 5 stars because it...

As a Florida resident for over 37 years I have spent much of my time traveling within the State. If someone is looking for a nice CLEAN, BEAUTIFUL, REASONABLE place to spend a night, a weekend, a week or even a month, the Gulf Beach Resort Motel in Sarasota is it! It is directly on the gulf (beach), quaint, and...

We stayed in room 315. The room provided an excellent view and close proximity to the beach. Things you should bring (we bought these items at Walmart): beach towels, coffee, bottled water and jug (water was nasty). Also, I would go here again, but I would wash all bedding first, sheets, comforters, etc. I got a rash and bites from...

We stayed in the second story unit overlooking the ocean. The views were amazing, due to windows on all sides in the living area. We enjoyed a drink at sunset with the doors open and complete privacy - something we will never forget. The place itself is tastefully decorated and has everything you might need including air con, fridge, hob, coffee...

A refreshing place, different than big chain hotels. A place back in time where my family stayed 40 years ago. Reasonably priced and directly on the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. Close to St. Armands circle.

GBRM has condos owned by different people so I am going to review each condo I've stayed in separately. This stay was in room 201 and I have to say it is almost the worst I've stayed in. The bathroom had a shower curtain with mold growing on it, the Murphy bed had filth behind it, the kitchen had bugs...

Clean, decent rates, full kitchen, on a beautiful sandy beach with perfect water. Excellent night life and restaurants all near by. Had a good time at The Ivory Lounge!! I'll be staying here each year from now on!

There are lots of more modern and pricey places to stay on Lido Beach but if you are looking to experience something akin what it was like to stay in a motel on the beach during the 1960’s, the Gulf Beach Motel is it. It really does capture all the good things but leaves out the nasty stuff like damp...

My husband and I went on vacation to celebrate my birthday and had a great stay at this historic hotel. This property sits right on the beach, which was beautiful and very relaxing.. We got a great studio apt. which even had a private patio with a BBQ. The staff was amazing, always wanting to assist us with all of...
