I have stayed at Sayana three times. Just love the privacy and quiet...there are only nine units. Short stroll to the beach for those morning and evening walks, but also have full gulf view from the lanai of your unit. Pool and tennis court are never crowded...in fact, I have never even seen anyone using the tennis court other than us! Very convenient for families with young children or a lovely getaway for just two. Sayana is on West Gulf Drive and (of course) right on the bike path which is one of the most appealing features of Sanibel Island. The grounds on the gulf side are very attractively landscaped, creating that "tropical" feeling.

My husband and I have stayed a few times at Sayana and each experience has been nicer than the previous one.
We are just leaving again to go back for another week to the same unit. It's a beautifully-kept unit that is so very clean. Everything possible is there......the kitchen has every utensil......the beds are so fresh and perfect.
It's never crowded and we've found ourselves at times being all alone in the pool. A very nice relaxing day. If this is what you're looking for, Sayana is the place to go. Quiet, peaceful, clean.

We stayed in Sayana 101. It was updated with flat screens and wireless internet this year. The condo has a very open beachy feel. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. The views were amazing from the lanai. The pool was so nice. My son learned how to swim the week we were there. The bike trails are amazing too! We can't wait to go back!

We stayed at Sayana (#102) for 8 nights during the end of June and first of July. What a wonderful experience! Our unit was recently redecorated and was beautiful. It has a Bahamian Plantation type style with darker woods and palm tree( very tasteful) themes. Everything was very clean and all details were thought of.
The owners leave the key for their beach closet and any water toy you'd want was there...boogie boards, inflatables, shelling nets, chairs, even a bike.
As always, Sanibel is the perfect family vacation destination. So relaxing and peaceful.

We have been vacationing at Sanibel for over 20 years. We last stayed in Sayana 101 and were so pleased! It has a beautiful, light , beachy feel , brand new flat screen tv's in both bedrooms and a new 42 inch flatscreen and blueray player in the den. Also the kitchen is very well stocked and that means alot since we eat in most of the time. The best thing though is that there are 5 bikes that come with the unit , so our family saves several hundred dollars in bike rental which makes this unit an even better value! Beautiful , clean, great value.....can't beat it!

Positives: gulf view and beach accessibility; only 9 units in complex, thus limiting a crowded condo experience.
Negatives: 301 needs an update. Looks like little has occurred in past 30 years. Carpet is old and soiled. TV in living room is a vintage crt, with poor picture and sound quality. TV in master is a cheap small flat screen, with poor audio. Couches are worn out. Appliances are cheap and dated. The dishwasher did not work. Bathroom hinges were rusted, as was the fan on the balcony. No roof access was available. The other 2 units on the 3rd floor had access.
There are many quality rentals on Sanibel and Captiva. Sayana 301 is not one of them.

Our three-weeks in Sayana 103 was full of unexpected delights. With only three units per floor, stairwells at either side and a central elevator no one needs to walk past your second bedroom. The space underneath the building is clean, open and useful for parking bicycles, washing shells and shoes or playing shuffleboard. The "Tiki Hut" in the dunes is the closest structure to the Gulf and a great place to enjoy the view while shaded from the sun. We ended each beach walk on the chairs in the hut. Triple-pane sliders to the lanai allow access from two sides when setting the table. Both bedrooms, the lanai, the living room and the kitchen have ceiling fans and two windows open on the side for excellent ventilation although the air conditioner was powerful and quiet when needed. Plantation shutters on all windows and sliders provide a quiet dark environment for restful sleep. The bedding, pillows and mattresses are new and of high quality ... we slept better than at home!

We had a pleasant week in Sanibel staying at 103 Sayana. The heated pool was great and kept very clean. We even saw the pool service vacuuming it while we were there! They told us they were just a phone call away if we needed them again.
We did not have any problems mentioned below about bugs/insects. Perhaps that was an isolated problem. When we spoke with Kingfisher, they had mentioned the unit just changed hands so perhaps there was a brief interruption in services. The condo was very clean and bright for our stay. Great kitchen that allowed us to shop at the excellent farmer's market and cook-in when we didn't feel like dining out.
The screened-in lanai allowed us to enjoy the garden/gulf view from sunrise to sunset. WiFi service was great and allowed multiple users to stream Netflix simultaneously. Nice flat screens with good pictures and OnDemand services (free programming only, no pay-per-view). Covered parking, elevator for luggage and groceries, luggage cart for same.
This was our first stay in Sanibel looking forward to returning and would stay in 103 again.

This is our third visit for our annual trip to Sanibel and this condo has been perfect for its location and cleanliness and all the amenities. The owners and management company keep the condo and grounds in great condition. They all have their own private closet on the bottom floor to store your beach items so you don't have to drag them into your place. It has covered parking and the pool area is always clean and a fun option when we are hot from the beach. Best thing too is that it is right there and just a very short walk to the beach and our view is lovely. If you visit Sanibel, this is a great option for families.

When they say "off season" on Sanibel - they defintely mean OFF - as in "not there" ! Very very quiet which suited us, all sorts of restaurants etc were shut till end of september and difficult to find somewhere to eat after 8.30 as everything was closed. However, this was our 4th stay at Sayana, 3rd in no. 102 and one stay in 103. 102 is our favourite, has all the comforts and very well appointed - there was only one other appartment occupied while we were there so we almost had the whole place to ourselves............ Save for Gertrude the Gecko that greeted us every evening as we went up the stairs. Over 15 years going to Sanibel for our holidays, Sayana is one of the best rentals we have stayed in.
