This inn is lovely. The owner,Dawn,is always available to offer any help or information. It's very clean and quiet and a short walk from the beach. Beds are so comfortable. We had facilities to make simple meals. Bikes are included as well as all beach gear. We loved it and highly recommend it. Thanks Dawn for an awesome week.

From check in to check out it was a fantastic experience. We opted for a larger cottage with a separate bedroom and it felt like home. All the amenities and no big crowds. Just a short walk or bike ride to the beach and the provided everything you would need. Will definitely stay there again.

This is our 4th winter staying at the Tarpon Tale and we would stay no where else!! We are here for 5 nights and of course it's not long enough. All the rooms have everything you would need. The beds are VERY comfortable. Sanibel is very laid back and that is how you feel staying here. Dawn, the innkeeper, is...

We loved our cottage with kitchenette and sitting room with a sofa that pulled out into a bed for our 8yr old. Cottage came with 2 bikes as well, so we had our own transportation down to lighthouse beach. This was located on lighthouse end of the island and near the marina and we loved the laid back feel. Billy's...

This was my first visit to Sanibel and The Tarpon Tale Inn just made my stay even better. I stayed in the Seashell II and the room was very comfortable, clean and had a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and utensils. The outside garden area with table and chairs and hammock was so quaint and relaxing I didn't want to leave. Having...

My husband & I could not have been happier at the Tarpon Tale Inn. It may not be for everyone, but we were very comfortable there for 5 nights. We stayed in the Island Sunset "cottage" which was like a studio apartment with a small but complete kitchen. It was immaculate and artistically decorated with various "cool" prints and a...

We stayed here in the beginning of January and I had to switch my reservation around a few times and they were so accomodating. We ended up in the captain's suite and it was very nice. I spoke to the owner who has been doing upgrades and it really showed. Having the bike available was so nice and all the...

This place is absolutely wonderful! Very tropical setting, walking distance to Bay, Gulf and lighthouse. Unfortunately, the bed in lighthouse 2 was uncomfortable and at times sounded like it was going to collapse. East end of Sanibel, quiet and relaxing. 2 restaurants in walking distance.

The Tarpon Tail Inn is a collection of attached cottages, each with its own style. They are homey in appeal and not like your typical hotel room. At first we were not sure what to expect, but it did not take long for us to feel very comfortable. It was so peaceful at this place that it really helped to...

We are spending ten days,or so on Sanibel Island. My wife booked a stay at Tarpon Tale Inn. I have been here for a few days before she and my son arrive for Thanksgiving. It is wonderful. A very convenient location. Dawn really makes you feel welcomed. Free bicycles to explore the island. Never a doubt where we will stay...
