A lovely small inn on the beach. Nothing over two stories, every room has a screened in porch. Beautiful pool, jacuzzi, shuffleboard, hammock and many places to sit outside. Excellent continental breakfast. Free bicycles. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed with efficiency kitchen. Free beach towels, nice lounge chairs and sun umbrellas. We're going back.

My wife and I spent 3 days at Song of the Sea in March, 2017. We choose a unit on the Gulf. We got a very nice fist floor unit - spacious with a full kitchen, a screened lanai and a small room with a convertible sofa, a bureau and closet - the only bureau and closet in the unit....

This is a relatively small inn so if you'd prefer to have fewer people milling around, this is the place. It's very comfortable: we had a King bed efficiency unit that had plenty of room. The bathroom is small but workable (think Hampton Inn size). The resort is very clean and well-kept. It's major feature is proximity to the beach....

The Song of the Sea is a lovely retreat from the world. Right at the water's edge, the hotel provides everything one could possibly want for a quiet escape. The excellent breakfasts in the morning, the welcome bottle of wine, the beach beds, towels, and umbrellas, and afternoon cookies were all welcoming gestures that made a difference in our comfort...

I was looking for a place on Sanibel to spend a long weekend with my young adult daughter. Once I got past the fact that ALL accommodations on Sanibel are expensive, I narrowed the search to beach front properties which was important to us and read as many reviews as I could. Finally, landing on Song of the Sea. We...

Decided to take a spur of the moment trip to Sanibel thinking, "hey" it's winter how hard can it be to get reservations! Well, let's just say there were zero vacancies, and the properties that were available were NYC prices.
