A wonderful campground, some sites just for pets, campground store, plentiful shower houses, hot water, clean park even after storms. Friendly staff. Your campground receipt gets you into all 4 beaches for free. Privacy between lots.

We learned of Fort DeSoto Park Campground and decided to take a day trip during our recent trip to Tampa. What a gem, will try to return with our RV sometime in the next year. The proximity to the gulf beaches is wonderful. We toured Fort DeSoto, had lunch at the beach snack hut and truly enjoyed the afternoon in...

Had a wonderful 2 night stay here! Beautiful campsites, several beach areas, good biking, great walking, kayaking...you name it! If you camp and like the beach, this is a MUST!! Reserve early! This experience is a combination of camping/rv'ing, relaxing beach time, outdoor recreation, and historic touring.

We enjoyed the dog beach over our spring break at Fort de Soto Park. Our four legged family members enjoyed running around meeting new friends. Beautiful beach with a friendly atmosphere among beach goers. We spotted dolphins swimming just off the shore and collected many sea shells. Bring some change for the toll road near the park. This state park...

Just spent a week at this campground on the recommendation of area family. We have had an absolutely wonderful time. My teenage kids loved every day here. Bicycling, swimming, beach, fishing, kayaking among manatees, feeding the squirrels (sorry), the campsite, bathhouse, everything was great. We tried to book again before we leave 6 months from now and it's already full....

This was our first camping experience and we had a blast. The location is beautiful and we had a nice breeze all night. So we didn't die in the June heat. Although I'd still recommend a good fan. The bathrooms and showers were also clean and not too far from our camp site. The playground was a nice touch and...

This is an awesome campground!! The scenery in the campground, with all the palms and tropical plants surrounding each camp site is awesome!!! You have campers next to you but you fell you are in your own little piece of paradise the way all the palms and tropical plants separate you from the neighbor next to you. Everything is clean,...

I took my husband and kids here for the day when they came to visit, while I was down for business. There was plenty of parking, a great gift shop/ice cream/lunch stand, and beach equipment rentals. Everything was very close to the beach access, and the young man at the equipment rental was very helpful. I was pleasantly surprised, as...

We saw wild dolphins at the edge of the pier! It was amazing. There's also lots of shorebirds that fish naturally but also steal fish from the fisherman there. The pier was bustling with activity and the sunset was gorgeous. The fort is also pretty cool with remnants of old artillery guns.
