First: the location is across from the historic area pedestrian walk; and, two blocks from the fort and the bay Second: Bruce, our host, was a knowledgeable gentleman, anxious to help you see, know, and love St. Augustine, like he does Third: the Castle Garden b&b is a historic building, in itself. Once the carriage house for the Flagler family's...

We came to St. Augustine without a reservation because we were not planning on spending the night. I started calling different Bed and Breakfasts in the area, and Castle Garden just happened to have one room available! Bruce was so friendly and helpful. He met us late and night and showed us our room. The breakfast was just right and...

An average to poor property with worn furniture, outdated fixtures and bathroom items. Food was minimal with little thought given to serving a quality bed and breakfast. Coffee was not available until breakfast, orange juice poured from a paper carton and mostly starchy items were served. There is no late afternoon offering of tea, coffee, wine or light food. The...

We arrived in the evening for our anniversary trip planning on staying at this quaint and romantic house, only to find it was actually a worn out Victorian home. It smelled very musty and was clad in dust and faded Christmas decorations. Upon showing us to our tiny, cluttered room (the biggest on the property) the inn keeper unapologetically told...

Our first time visit to St. Augustine and were very fortunate to select Castle Garden B&B. Bruce is an awesome host and the location is 5 minute walk from historic downtown. Highly recommended! Kevin & Kathy Ontario Canada

You get what you pay for here, or not. Shower very small, bed felt like it would fall apart. Walls were paper thin and could hear everything. Breakfast was not very good. Be careful if your not experienced in going to these places. I do not recommend this one for anyone.

I have stayed here three times in the past 15 years and I love this place! I never had any problems and you can't beat the location. I have always enjoyed talking to Bruce and found him very helpful and considerate. I love the old, quaint feel of the place and the architecture is really unique. I can't wait to...

Myartner and I just came back from staying at the Castle Garden and I am here to tell you it was a pleasure indeed. The rooms are comfortable though one has to go up an old flight of wooden stairs. But it has modern amenities...no privy in back yard!!! Lovely sitting room downstairs and a screen porch to sit during...

Good location and air conditioning and that's where the positives end. House is is old and in poor condition. The entire place could benefit from a deep cleaning. Towels and sheets are threadbare and of poor quality. There are zero amenities, not even shampoo. Wifi did not work upstairs. We opted out of breakfast which was served late the first...

I stayed at Castle Garden when I went to the St Augustine Seafood Festival. I based this on the fact that it was located close to the event location. When I got there, my first Impression was that the yard could use some TLC. When I went inside to check in, the owner was eating his lunch at the breakfast...
