I have stayed here three times in the past 15 years and I love this place! I never had any problems and you can't beat the location. I have always enjoyed talking to Bruce and found him very helpful and considerate. I love the old, quaint feel of the place and the architecture is really unique. I can't wait to...

Myartner and I just came back from staying at the Castle Garden and I am here to tell you it was a pleasure indeed. The rooms are comfortable though one has to go up an old flight of wooden stairs. But it has modern amenities...no privy in back yard!!! Lovely sitting room downstairs and a screen porch to sit during...

Good location and air conditioning and that's where the positives end. House is is old and in poor condition. The entire place could benefit from a deep cleaning. Towels and sheets are threadbare and of poor quality. There are zero amenities, not even shampoo. Wifi did not work upstairs. We opted out of breakfast which was served late the first...

I stayed at Castle Garden when I went to the St Augustine Seafood Festival. I based this on the fact that it was located close to the event location. When I got there, my first Impression was that the yard could use some TLC. When I went inside to check in, the owner was eating his lunch at the breakfast...

I really wanted to LOVE this place. It has tremendous potential. The property is more than 160 years old. It has an a very interesting history that could easily be included in the decor and would add interest to the property. It has a lovely courtyard. The room was ok. The furnishings were antique and interesting. The curtains and swag...

Our experience was fantastic. Bruce is a gracious and hospitable host, the inn is in a wonderful location, and I found the accommodations to be in great condition when you consider how old the property is. I fail to understand why other reviewers booked their stays at a centuries-old historic inn if they were expecting five-star hotel-style modern amenities. Breakfast...

To keep it short and sweet here is a quick synopsis of our experience at Castle Garden B&B: The good: 1. The bed was comfortable 2. Wi-Fi coverage was good 3. Bruce the innkeeper was a nice 4. Good location The bad: 1. The place is very rundown and in a quasi-state of neglect (visible telephone cables, dust on the...

This B&B could be described at best as "quirky". The location is fantastic, the history of the Inn fascinating but the facility needs some updating and the service left something to be desired. Our host was not present when we arrived. We had to wait at least 30 minutes after reaching him on the phone. He had been told our...

Delightful historic Carriage House. Could use a bit of upgrade here and there but still a great place. Quiet and restful. Great owners. Would stay here again. Simple breakfast with good conversation. Could have coffee out earlier for early risers.

Our B&B room was small, but nice. The bed was very comfortable and slept well. The bathroom wasn't well lighted, but the jacuzzi tub was fantastic! We enjoyed our visit with Bruce, who was very friendly and a great sense of humor. His Mom, Joy, made our coffee and I thought it was the best I'd ever had, Really!! Bruce...
