My sister and I decided to spend some time in St. Augustine before Christmas and decided to try a bed and breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was like visiting my grandma. The rustic furniture and atmosphere took me back in time. Having a pet friendly place was ideal as I have a puppy chihuahua. I made...

The B & B was well within walking distance of the historic district and was reflective of the area. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and had a great rustic design. The staff, Katie and Chelsea were very welcoming and felt like old friends. The brunches were absolutely phenomenal. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner at...

We stayed in the Southwind room for 3 nights, very roomy with the additional sitting room off the bedroom a bonus. This is a lovely historic house filled with antiques in a very quiet neighbourhood. Great location, walking distance to many restaurants and things to do sites. We had a 3 day hop on pass but only used it the...

Great location and lots of parking which was excellent. Room (garden mist)was charming in a rustic way but bathroom was tiny and shower was very small. King size bed was comfortable but curtains do not close and the room was very light making it hard to sleep well. Breakfast was OK although coffee could have been hotter and cups were...

Please note that we here at the Saragossa B&B have described our Gardenmist bath as “small.” But it is en-suite and is large enough to hold a full-size pedestal sink, toilet and the shower stall is a standard sized, Kohler brand, pre-fab shower! The curtains in this room and are just “window dressing” and there are blinds that completely cover...

My fiancé and myself went to St. Augustine to celebrate our engagement. We found the B and B and were disappointed in the way it looked, tired, run down, and need of repair. We stayed in the Gardenmist Room. The bed was comfortable, but as you lay in bed you look up at peeling paint, the bathroom is tiny, and...

Let us begin by saying that our B&B may be old (built in 1924) but we take great pride in the upkeep and cleanliness of our home. And the ceilings (and walls) in our home may not be in “mint” condition but they are original to our home and receive the same TLC we give the whole building. Our problems...

Husband and I stayed at the Saragossa Inn this past weekend. We were in the Gardenmist Room. First, we went to our room, at best this is shabby chic at first viewing. The bathroom was very small (we cruise a lot so we are use to small) but this was smaller than the smallest bathroom on a cruise ship. It...

OK, let’s tell the truth here, if someone feels they have to say that their review “is accurate and not in the least exaggerated,” then you know it probably is. So let’s talk about the real issue these folks had with us. Every year our B&B participates in a “Tour of Historic Inns” for Christmas. Proceeds go to local charities....

We arrived approx. 6:10pm after having to call for better directions & inability to read street signs after dark. No one was in the office(after climbing the flight of stairs to get there). We call the # again, and were told that our room was unlocked and the key was inside on a table. We were also informed that breakfast...

Here at the Saragossa Inn we are a small family run 6 room B&B and we try to treat all of our guests with the same kindness and the same respect. On a rare occasion we have that grumpy guest that for some reason thinks they deserve preferential treatment. This often means other guests don’t get the attention they deserve....

This Inn is situated in a location that is very easy to walk to all of the main sightseeing. The size of the room was fine- my only complaint is that the bathroom was old and tub appeared to be dirty. Also, the mattress having stains that are visible on the sides of the bed . The staff is very...

All of our bathrooms have received a complete or partial make-over. These remodels have been done to keep our baths looking appropriate for our 1924 Sears Craftsman home and to reflect the style of the guest room itself. We have kept a few of the original cast iron tubs. They may not be sparkling white but they are deep and...

Nice accommodation. The bed was comfortable and we had a great night sleep. The inn is within walking distance to main shopping and restaurants area. We were travelling with our pet shin tsu and they accommodated us by allowing us to have a beautiful breakfast outside on the upstairs patio.

Very close walking distance to everything! Nice B&B comfy beds and the breakfast was excellent. A little on the "rustic" side for me. But I think thats what most are expecting at a B&B. Had a good two night stay. As a total hotel snob I have more input that I will withhold because I think Saragossa is what a...
