After reserving through the resort website and confirming by phone with customer service that cottages were updated, we arrived for our first vacation in Over a year with covid to find an outdated 1980s decor, peeling walls, stained carpets , an outdated kitchen and a smell we could not identify. If we were 20 years old and were spending $50 per night we might tolerate this. But at over $500 per night I expect a better standard. Johnathan at front desk tried his best and was wonderful to work with, but even this is beyond his repair through we appreciate his effort. Shame on you @pganational.

At this time, our guests can enjoy our spa, pools, golf, tennis and access to the fitness center facilities. The guestroom and accommodations are in the process of being reimagined.

I made reservations for next month and was told my credit card would not be charged and it was only going to be used to hold the reservation. After reading the reviews I called the hotel about their COVID restrictions and was told that the only restaurant open was the cafe at the pro shop. I was also told they were still in the beginning stages of renovations and that the rooms would not be completed until May! I then asked for them to cancel my reservations. I was told I was charged for one nights stay! Now I have to wait 10 days for the money to be credited to my account! Nellie at reservations would not tell me the last name of the women that made the reservations. They did give me the first and last name of the supervisor. It seemed like Nellie was protecting the agent that made the reservations. I found out that the agent’s name that made my reservations was Beth who assured me my credit card would not be charged. Do not stay here! Nothing is open, so not worth the money! Plus it seems like the staff is incompetent!

This place has “covid protocols” in place by having most services unavailable. From what I’ve experienced as well as speaking with other guests; they play the “we’re being safe” card however it’s clear it’s just budget cuts on saving on payroll. They are currently renovating, so no restaurants are open; you have a golf cafe called Bar91 that is open but it’s truly just a spot to grab a burger or hot dog and a drink to-go. Poolside service is not available, room service is not available, valet is not available, housekeeping is not available, blankets for the bed are not available (just two thin sheets) and the list goes on. You can have all of those services and still be covid safe, but they choose not to. Pool is only available for 3 hours IF you have a reservation. The funny part is that when I went to the pool for my reservation there was no chairs available because no one from the early reservation block was asked to leave. They have reservations to sound safe but it wasn’t enforced. We could not get pool towels because they were out. This resort has a lot of potential, it’s a beautiful property and the renovations will be nice I’m sure, however I wouldn’t recommend paying these nightly rates until they get their services back and stop playing the covid card as well as get their renovations open so you can enjoy dinner on the property.

Dear MichaelkH867ORU, Thank you for staying at the PGA National Resort & Spa during your most recent visit to Palm Beach Gardens. I am grateful for your candor and feedback regarding your experience. Your points are well taken and I can assure you that the safety of every guest and staff member continue to be the most imperative. Therefore steps have been taken and will continue to be taken as we fight this pandemic. The resort as you mentioned is in the process of a major transformation which upon completion will create the most memorable experiences for incoming guests. At this time, our guests can enjoy our spa, pools, golf, tennis and access to the fitness center facilities. While there are limitations as you noted regarding the restaurant choices available, in the very foreseeable future additional options will be provided. Furthermore, the guestroom accommodations have been reimagined. Future guests will be able to experience luxury and refinement which will only enhance their experience. In closing, I am sincerely appreciative for your thoughts which are meaningful and beneficial. Bill Horn, Resort Manager

Requested king bed close to elevator (pregnant wife) got to a double room, end of long walk, infested with mosquitos. Apparently they overbooked. They do not care about their guests. DO NOT STAY HERE!

We returned because of our past experience.... it's nothing like that now with constuciton, and Covid limiing the options severely. We stayed for 3 nights, over new year’s at the PGA National Resort. Hotel was under contruction, with one restaurant open for take out or sit down outside with limited hours. One golf coruse was closed, and VERY limited T – times on other courses due to a Junior PGA tournament, which also filled the practice facilities with kids and their parents. Pool was limited to 3 hour sign up blocks of time as was the work out area (sign up for 1.5 hr time periods). All other faciliies closed. You could book the Champ for a 185 upcharge on TOP of what you were paying for the golf package. Bottom line, until contruction is over or UNLESS they give you a BIG discount, spend your $$ someplace else, until the “new PGA resort” is ready... AND I loved this place the last time we were here.... I am sure it will return to glory but ASK exactly what is OPEN, when and if you book.

Thank you Coach for being our guest during the holidays and for your comments which we highly value. I sincerely apologize if your experience did not exceed your previous stay expectations. Yes unfortunately with Covid still a factor in our state, we take extra precautionary protocols seriously to help ensure we can exercise proper social distance to keep our guests, members and staff safe at all times. Many of our amenities need advance reservations so we can control the traffic and amount of guests in one area at a time, but can easily be reserved in advance. Is it ideal, no, but is it safe, absolutely. We have also began an amazing enhancement project to the resort that we have separated out in various areas to not create inconvenient disturbances. We thank you for being our guest, and yes look forward to welcoming you back in the future to see our wonderful and brand new property and amenities. Bill Horn, Resort Manager
