For the price, Bintang was quite basic, even by standards of accommodation in Flores. I've lived in Indonesia for more than a decade, and we're quite used to staying in simple places, but usually for this kind of room we'd expect to pay between 350,000 - 450,000. But Bintang was asking rp 600,000 for a family room, which had basic...

Best option for travelers wanting to meet travelers, or to make friends with the local lads. Great location, good food, clean rooms and central Moni's most welcoming terrace. Hot showers and mosquito nets. Rooms start from 500k.

This place high in the mountains is nice, the view is great, the rooms are simple but very very clean and the staff & owner Tobias are very friendly. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it. We were even invited for a family Christmas dinner, which we enjoyed a lot! Thanks to Tobias et all!

We stayed a night before we head to Kelimutu, it is basic accommodation, for a night is fine. Quite limited water supply when we shower, have to stand on certain spot to get 3G connection. The food was ok for dinner, but basic for breakfast. Overall Moni is a small town, can't expect very good accommodation but Bintang Lodge is...

We stayed at the Bintang Bungalows for one night before our trip to the Kelimutu lakes at sunrise. Rooms are very simple with small bathroom. Rooms were clean although bugs definitely a problem. Hot water provided, no toiletries so bring your own. It's good for what it is, budget accommodation in a small undeveloped village.

Gives suggestions on how to get around Moni and it's surroundings. Free breakfast which can be held anytime. Rooms were clean with fan and mosquitoe netting with hot water available...

What a terrible place with unfriendly people. They couldn't care less. You feel like you are there to give them money. An unpleasant experience. There is no atm in moni and unfortionaly bintang is the only place in moni where you can get some money. So bring cash and stay away from bintang.

A nice and simple guesthouse located on the main road through Moni. Rooms are standard and clean and come with breakfast included. The staff is very helpful in organizing things to do in and around town and can help you set up transport to your next destination. Restaurant serves good food all day long. Be prepared for no wifi though...

Of course it was just for two nights to go up Kelimutu and see some of the area around, but the rooms and the food there as well we're very disgusting. It smelled wet, we had a lot of animals in the "bathroom" like snails, ants and cockroaches. 1 million hair in the shower (which is warm, what's good) of...
