Good basic room with nice view and everything you need (comfortable bed, warm shower and a solid toilet). Tobias is very friendly and good english speaking. If you want to visit Kelimutu its a very good place to stay. Thank you Raphael & Theresa

The road is long from Flores airport to Rueteng - we arrived late in the evening and the power were off. The staff at the hotel were trying their best to accommodate our every need of 15 people. We are happy with them. Remember this is not a 5 star hotel so do not expect too much. The hotel is on the hill but the staff carried our luggage to the room. Room is clean and nice however their plumbing system is bad. What goes to the room sink will flow to the bathroom floor. There is no main drainage pipe. Flores is still remote island - but at Labuan Bajo you will find better hotel - I have no problem with Bintang, and food is adequate and BK is good. Appreciate the humble people there who are making a living. There is no good infrastructure in Flores. This is mostly a Christian dominate island, we saw a lot of people dressing their Sunday best to go to church. Beautiful sight. Priceless. No begging either. Again Flores is not Jakarta where the government pour money into the infrastructure. Be humble and enjoy like the people of Flores. Love them.

This place was such a gem! The rooms are absolutely beautiful, fantastic value for money. They're clean, spacious and there's a lovely balcony and restaurant with views over the valley. The main draw to this place though is Tobias and his lovely family. Any time we had a question he brought us over a seat and sat with us and shared all the information we needed, found transport for us and helped us flag down the bus the next morning. They packed us our breakfast when we went early Kelimutu and the food is really good! I couldn't recommend this stay more. Thankyou tobias and family!

My boyfriend and I arrived here without a booking on the recommendation from our taxi driver and we couldn’t have been happier. The room was clean, comfortable and with a hot shower. The views are fantastic and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. It’s close by to Mopi’s which was also a great place and it was a perfect place in location to kelimutu. Thanks again for our stay!

The rooms are clean (at least the first day), and it' the only good point one can find there. Contrary to what is stated in some reviews, there is no pool, it might be another bintang lodge... The staff is rude except when you pay where the smile comes back to them as if by magic. The food is horrible and the breakfasts would make the worst scoundrels pale with shame ! Go to Mopy's for breakfast and excellent meals and enjoy a warm atmosphere! The bintang lodge is very expensive for the services offered ... know that the wifi code is changed regularly to prevent guests from connecting ... In short this lodge is the opposite of Indonesian kindness and hospitality !
